I think we've seen enough of Redden, Hutchings and Jetta. They weren't abhorrent, but we're never going to get anywhere with these guys in the side. They're just average, and as long as we keep playing them, we'll be average too.

A underdone Venables could be a option.
Snadden has elite speed and Mutimer is quick also, both are also big bodies.
And either couldn't do any worst than Redden

I think he need to take a gamble at selection
Bring in Watson and Sheed

But bring in a third of the above
Venable would be a massive gamble.
I like Snadden as he can stand up in a tackle but is a rookie
So Mutimer maybe the way to go

I would love us to drop Masten but its not going to happen

Pace? U mean stand there, handball receive and kick off one step? He never uses it.
Hes had enough chances. I was willing to give him another chance but he is done and should be banished to wafl reserves
Absolutely. Watson has kicked goals and actually uses his pace. I feel bad about Jetta but why persist to play a guy who is a senior player with so little confidence.

Do you get frustrated by our conservative nature at the selection table?

Would love for us to give more chances to developing players.

Should try Nelson on the wing if his endurance is good enough IMO. Not convinced he's an inside mid but around the middle of the ground in space he shows he can take the game on, make good decisions and has a nice boot on him.

I'm really concerned, and I had the same concern a few years ago, that we are hamstringing ourselves by making Gaff so central to our ball movement plans. The opposition knows they just have to put him under pressure and he will turn the ball over.

Hi everyone,

Happy Richmond supporter here, but im not here to brag (im not like that), i just wanted to say thanks for the gsme, i thought it was going to be close and it was and luckily today the four points went Richmond's way.

Thanks for the close game, i wasnt confident all week and the Tigers proved me wrong. If the game was in Perth then I reckon the Eagles win.

All the best against Sydney next week and for the rest of the season.

Can understand your stance Mick, but there where other players who where worst
Redden and Hutchings Cripps in the forward line Sheppard in the back line

Don't know why but Sheppard just wont run with the footy at the moment

Jetta did use the footy well when he got it
We just need more pace in the side

**** I wish Willie Rioli was available

:thumbsu: Richmond handled the conditions a lot better than we did.

Jealous of Rioli, but ours will be better.

You Know Clarkson every year in there premiership years selected new players,
a lot of them from poor form in the VFL and they still got a game.
That's because he had a role for them to come in and play and where surrounded by lots of experience
Don't know why Simpson wont do the same.

Out: Vardy, Hutchings

In: Mackenzie, Sheed

One of Redden and Hutchings has to go. Preferably both soon.

Jetta stays until someone else shows up, eg: Mutimer/ Cole.

Are you suggesting eMac back up ruck, or McGovern? Or McGovern fwd?

Yep, said this in another thread. We should be keeping one eye on the future while we are in our peak years.

McGovern/ Darling.

Two rucks that don't do enough on the deck or in the air is hurting our ball movement. Why have a shorter backline and 1.5 key forwards when the two rucks are doing the work of one outside of stoppages. It's a waste of a spot.

Jetta is the laziest campaigner. Jogs around everywhere. That one handed pickup was great but then instead of burning off the Richmond player just kicks a ball to nobody. Could've then used his speed and ran into 50 and slotted the goal. Simply lazy. He's been dropped a heap of times and nothing changes. Needs to be delisted as he'll never play with heart

Do any of the Wafl watchers think some of the younger guys are any chance of a call up? Parto and Muntz seem to be getting decent numbers, though are seemingly lacking impact.

Geeze there were a handful of bog ordinary players and its hard to split them but his missed set shot tips him to our worst for mine. I dont think shep was bad. We have yeo and wellingham playing back for dash and shep, while he can, seems to be more of an enforcer - he is cloning a bit of hurn where he just goes very hard at the contest and is playing tighter.

Redden and hutchings r nothing players, especially redden. His possessions are literally meanigless and he just anchors the ball movement
