AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I’m not worried vdubs- expecting a comfortable win!Another loss this week was not something I was going to pick, but our team is in a mini-rut, and it could well be our second home loss. We're playing a v good team. But I do NOT think it's doom and gloom.
Right time of the year for this sort of malaise.
We have enough wins in reserve at present to allow for this eventuality, should it happen.
It did in 09, and we recovered.
There is no team like Saints 09 this year to really be concerned about, but there are multiple teams who are hoping they can peak at the right time, and we will be one of the many.

What a shocking example. No chance of it happening and one bad loss doesn't make the team anything as mediocre as the Kangaroos that year.Pivotal game for both clubs - not convinced either club are the real deal this year - however you could say that about every club in the comp this year - come finals time - i reckon it will be a bit like playing musical chairs - no standouts this year
If Geel get beat this weak - they could do a Nth Melb - when the Kangaroos won the opening 9 games a few seasons back - and then just kept losing - and tumbled down the ladder
Probably Adelaides most important game since the 17 GF - because normally against Geel at Geel they just dont look like winning
I hope it is windy and wet - visiting teams have hell kicking goals in those conditions at KP
Scooter is cooked way too slow for AFL
Not sure Menegola is a walk in start, he may need a game in VFL. Although, he probably is the better replacement for Rohan if he can't get up.
Fort goes out for me, and its up to MC to determine if Buzza get's a crack given his VFL form, or stick with the SavRat.
Based on tonight's game, I'd probably put Stanley on notice another game like that and Smith comes in. In fact, I'd probably just bring Smith in again.
If Dahlhaus is injured, then Fogarty comes in for him.

Your first point is actually on the money - but the same has been true every year since Hawthorn's three peat. Plenty of chances for just-okay sides to win flags in the back end of this decade, which is why I've been semi upbeat on the Cats at times. Not because they have been great, but just because everybody else looks bang average as well.
Adelaide's more important games will continue to be at home as the finals race winds down. Losing at KP is a barometer for nobody, it's almost a free pass.
Back us in wet or dry conditions to be honest.

nothing scientific, just unknown, new guy replacement types who we have written off have hurt us before. can't recall who ATM but some midfielders, a year or so ago, really carved us up in one game we were expected to win fairly easily. of course, they could bring in some absolute spuds.
we know how Lynch and Jenkins play, they aren't quick and we can cover them.
Did you even read his post? He's talking about the danger of unknown players vs the fact that we would at least know how Lynch & Jenkins play.Lynch and Jenkins won’t even be playing !
Seriously .......

him and Ablett, both should be pensioned off ............Betts is past it
....Lynch and Jenkins aren’t quick and we can cover them ....
Sounds like a present tense to me
Seriously ........
Have we hit that flat a spot though? Maybe we just had the usual post- bye form/loss. Prior to that we beat swans and tigers. After the opening quarter a couple of our quarters against Richmond were terrific footy. Are our significant numbers down a lot or something? I wouldn’t have thought so. Can’t see crows beating us but we’ll find out soon enough. Comon Cats!I think the Eagles hit a flat spot similar stage last year.
Makes aggressive post on opposition board, get’s it wrong, then backpedals. Well played floggette. Now **** off back to your scum board, swamp twat.....Lynch and Jenkins aren’t quick and we can cover them ....
Sounds like a present tense to me
Seriously ........
the real worry is the post bye situation - a bye at the end of the H&A. If we win that first final, another bye ....Maybe we just had the usual post- bye form/loss.
Yep- but at least it’s a more level playing fiend then.the real worry is the post bye situation - a bye at the end of the H&A. If we win that first final, another bye ....
Rohan won't be picked tonight.
Sav has had a setback and won't play - and maybe not next week either - Scott on SEN.
Yes it is. I would never refer to all or nothing and would never ever assume anyone else would. Its so overly simplistic its ridiculous (except in the case of kolo being a goal kicker). That is not at all how you made the comment
