....Lynch and Jenkins aren’t quick and we can cover them ....

Sounds like a present tense to me
Seriously ........🙄

Go back and read the post again... Clearly is talking about how we know we can cover them but them not playing and the unknown is dangerous

Sav and Rohan out has me shook.

We simply can’t play Fort, in my opinion. He’s just not up to it. So do we bring in Smith and play Stanley more forward??? History suggests no, as Stanley stinks as a forward. However, he will provide much more of a threat than Fort, and Smith in the ruck could improve us around stoppages. Stanley competing against their back-up also would be a big win..... Or do they bring in Abbott?

Do we replace Rohan with Krueger, or do they bring Fogarty in for his pressure???? I’m honestly not sure. Interesting selection night!

It goes to show how well Collingwood are going - because they have got a stack of injuries -and theve done a damm good job - continuing to win

Geel get a few injuries - like the 2 youve mentioned - and the cupboard looks pretty bare at the Cattery to replace them - and if Scott is fair dinkum he has to drop Fort - but will he ? -what was it last year he gave that little gymnast rover bloke about 10 games in a row - and he had 10 shockers in a row - and then delisted him at the end of the year !!!

With the 2 outs Sav and Rohan - i think the real odds are Geel $1.70 and Crows $2.30 . The Bulldogs and Swans down at Kardinia didnt quite get the job done - but were right in the game - Crows are a better unit than those 2 teams but for some bizarre reason are normally hopeless at KP- ive never seen a team where the self doubt comes in that quickly - than when the Crows play the Cats at KP - hopefully that trend continues Friday night .

In spite of the overwhelming vibe to drop Fort .. Im guessing he is thought of differently by the club and will get picked again.

Id quite like to see Buzza and Krueger get a chance .. but to get both selected in the same week seem a bit fanciful

Does Fogarty get his return ..

There is an oppitunity to be as brave in the game as the club was R1...

What a strange post. Your first sentence makes sense, but the rest is preemptive of a disaster, based on what?
Bulldogs were beaten by 44 and Swans by 22. Just scraped over the line, hey.
And I'm not sure what Gregson has to do with depth this year?
Sav has only played a handful of games and has taken a while to hit form, and Rohan seems to need a rest anyway, based on his last couple of games.
I'm pretty sure we can cover their absence.

Buzza and Krueger would be fair replacements for Sav and Rohan ...as long as Buzza can do his bit in the ruck.
But Fort has still impacted, at least on the scoreboard, despite lingering doubts over his abilities.

Selwood said the rumours about the knee tendonitis are complete BS. Basically he is playing on the outside and tutoring Jordan Clark - said he will move back into the midfield at times during the season.

If this is genuinely what's been going on its the weirdest thing to do with your senior team. It is true that he's been a bit of a field marshal in the absence of runners but a tutor?

Definately Kreugers time imo, without Hawkins support and him firing we'll likely drop this game.
Fort is no presence and lacks the ability to draw defenders from Hawkins, as proven no Hawkins no Geelong he's that important.

Another loss this week was not something I was going to pick, but our team is in a mini-rut, and it could well be our second home loss. We're playing a v good team. But I do NOT think it's doom and gloom.
Right time of the year for this sort of malaise.
We have enough wins in reserve at present to allow for this eventuality, should it happen.
It did in 09, and we recovered.
There is no team like Saints 09 this year to really be concerned about, but there are multiple teams who are hoping they can peak at the right time, and we will be one of the many.

We had our annual post bye loss after beating Richmond by ten goals and we're in a "mini rut" how do you reach that conclusion Dubs?

Gregson is a perfect example of the current coach continually picking a bloke who was clearly not good enough - and it cost Geel games - the Haw game being a good example - i think there is a bit of relevance their to Darcy Fort !!- will he drop him - or will he continue to play him - and find out hes not up to scratch

Re the Swans and Bulldogs - take your Blue and White meshed goggles off for a minute mte - the Swans kicked inaccurately - most keen observers would acknowledge that fact . And correct me if im wrong - but wernt the Bulldogs within 8 pts early in the last qtr - then got blown away - the Dogs had plenty of the ball that day - but their forwardline was hopeless

We'll be fine.

Crows just aren't much chop IMO...
Their outing against Richmond even.. Tigers were so so undermanned and it took the Crows till the 20min mark of the last quarter to shake them.

I am baffled reading these comments. We will not lose this game, anyone who has seen the Crows play this year will tell you the same.

Fort didn't play very well, but apart from Ablett he was our only forward who even looked like firing a shot last week.
I would expect him to play again.
The question is whether they replace Rohan with Krueger or Parsons.

Clearly I don’t speak Geelongish

“nothing scientific, just unknown, new guy replacement types who we have written off have hurt us before. can't recall who ATM but some midfielders, a year or so ago, really carved us up in one game we were expected to win fairly easily. of course, they could bring in some absolute spuds.
we know how Lynch and Jenkins play, they aren't quick and we can cover them.“
Lack of correct punctuation, capital letters and absence of sentence structure - yeah, got me good!
😏
