I didnt take that out of it at all. He complimented his second half and his work rate.
What he said was that there was a spot there for a ruck fwd - he didnt mean Boyds spot but more so playing two rucks/fwds - Not just boyd.
Has to be trengrove for me this week given his experience in Adelaide and against sauce is good.

I'm kicking myself as I wanted to see Webb given 3 games without yo-yo'ing as he has all year.

- Dalhaus on notice for me.
- Young is a big worry for me and may have been dumped had it not been Adelaides tall fwd line.

Webb to come out. Has never shown the ability to win the footy. And if he can’t play a good game against Brisbane, than why should the club back him in against Adelaide over there? I don’t rate Honeychurch very highly, but at least he gives 100% and puts on pressure when he isn’t winning the footy. 3 kicks for a bloke who is selected for his foot skills just doesn’t cut it.

Would love to see Adams back as well if he's deemed ready. The thought of him, Wood and Morris back in the team is super exciting. Totally changes our defence. Didn't manage to see the whole game on the weekend, but would think Webb and Crozier candidates to make way for Adams.

I don't think a full pre season is relevant considering he would've lost all of his fitness over the past 10 weeks. He may come back in the seniors but his first game back last year off a lengthy layoff was very ordinary, so there's no harm in playing a half in the VFL first to shake off some rust.

Not saying you are wrong but boiled down I'm just a dumb fan who likes to barrack for our players.

The difference for me is that I barrack for Webb to get the ball as good things happen in the rare event he does.

Sadly, I find myself hoping Honey and Jong don't get the ball for fear of what might happen. I hate watching footy with that mindset - I know its wrong but it is what it is and I guess that's why I prefer they don't play.

Morris and Adams need a game before a recall IMO after long spells to get match conditioning. Wood straight in as a swingman, Roberts replaces Naughton and Trengove to share ruck/forward with Boyd. Young unlucky because I want another ruckman and can cover him with Wood. Like to give Webb another go but like the team balance and strength of the three ins.

Adams always starts a bit rusty after injury from memory so I would bring him back via vfl. Morris straight in as he is a demigod.

I'm just an armchair coach but I wouldn't play Morris in seniors without a game in VFL as good as he is.

His knowledge and judgment is worth its weight in gold. I'm sick of seeing us give up easy goals with schoolboy errors.

Reckon Adams is a big chance to play forward when he returns. Otherwise Cordy or Naughton miss out and Young is consigned to VFL.

Morris straight in for sure, see the shape he looked in a few weeks back? The bloke is a bloody machine. Not like it matters too much if his touch is a bit off anyway, the leadership and hardness he provides will be huge to our young team. And bring Wood back too, Young gets another go with Naughty out. I think he'll look a hell of a lot better with Wood and Moz alongside him. Also gives him the chance to go home to adelaide which we like to do with our young guys.

Adams I'd bring back through VFL, dont want to go in with too many underdone players and hes the sort who could use limited game time first up. Id be looking to bring him in forward next week.

Bring Trengove in (or Roughy if we believe he's fit, think people are writing off Rough too quickly) and go with Boyd/Bont up forward with an eye on Bont going into the middle and Adams coming in along side Boyd next week.

Boyd/Adams both forward looks really really appealing to me IMO, I reckon that could be the combo were looking for. Also having Adams in the team allows us to play Boyd through the ruck without losing literally our whole forward structure. I know we all want to see Boyd not have to ruck too much but lets face it he's our best ruckman by a mile atm. Trengove/Boyd/Adams finding some form and chemistry together could be the making of this team I reckon. We're so so close if a couple of things start to click we could seriously do some damage this year, the comps so weak across the top end, but pretty even for the most part so have to take our chances wherever possible.
