For us to win this week I think we have to get clean possession out of stoppage and go handball happy to draw Melb defenders at the man to create space over the top. It'll look ugly at times but sometimes you have to pay the piper. Otherwise they'll just compress (as Kingy recognised/ Psicosis emphasised) and we'll be too easy to rebound against, which we don't want to become an easy trend for oppo scouts.

If we can manage that it should benefit us both this week and going forward due to uncertainty of how to set up against our clearance game.

It's hard to see a way that Bergman is on the list next year. Would much rather see Hardeman have a crack.

30 years old. Barely deserved to be best 22 last year. Has relinquished the captaincy.

They have gone all chips in. Pretty much threw away a whole draft hand because this list is ready to win.

They did, but all levels backed the moves. I struggle to see how just keeping all our draft hand would have improved the best 22 this year though and given us a better chance to keep LDU.

Our midfield can’t kick a pass to 2 forwards at the moment. Why would you think they can kick to 3. Can see the ball get transitioned out by the opppsition easily.

Nah, we need tp stick a small/medium with creativity and speed that keeps ball in our forward line

Our KP forwards also suck in the air. A Comben, Teakle or Maley means we won't constantly get outmarked.

I think that the first quarter from last week will be the focus in the inner scrotum and this week we will respond by winning the first quarter and then going on to win the game. I suspect that this will be a high scoring game both ways but North will win by at least 3 goals with a score line of Melba in the 90’s and the Roos in the 100 pluses. go Roos

It's early enough in the season that there's still that tiny bit of hope left, I'm getting some good mileage out of my 'it's only round 1, there were some good signs, Dees are gettable' cope. Adelaide next week is 'the wall'.

He's been very unlucky with injuries, but has had some excellent games in between. Tough and uses the ball well. We are yet to see what he has to offer.
