Champion data points are a load of rubbish.

Last week Kruzer vs Grundy.... Grundy had better stats for everything yet Kruzer had a higher points ranking... Go figure.

For Ruckman they can tend to blur the games due to tap outs to advantage rather than just actual inneffective tap outs which get no points.
For defenders they are a good indication of if a guy uses the ball well or not

Agree with this. And the good form Fas has been in will mean he takes possibly their best medium defender, which might free Jamie up to snag a couple and get some confidence back.

Varcoe Cloke Elliott
White Reid Fasolo

Say what you want about Jesse, if he has the third best tall defender he will perform.
That fwd line has me excited. Go pies!

Although Buddy is doubtful they look like getting 3 handy ins - Pyke, Rohan & McGlynn (not sure if i spelt any of those correctly).

Because we just lost to Melbourne and barely beat Carlton :(

Would love a win but we need a remarkable turnaround in form. Here's hoping!

Well we went from playing good footy to losing to Melbourne pretty quickly, no reason it can't turn the other way. Plus we historically match up well on Sydney, got to keep the hope alive.

I'd say he's had a good consistent year. One of the few in the side who could say that. Avg 21 disposals, 5 marks

i agree.. for a bloke to play out of defence and into the midfield as he has done.. credit to him for that. not outstanding but reliable enough.

i would not drop moore.. we need to throw caution to the wind.. cause white's not going to give us anything anyhow.. and moore may just play a jack in the box game as he did agst the dogs.. we neeeeed to take that risk.
The comparison between Moore and White stands as this I reckon;

If Moore plays, you may get 2-3 goals out of him, and 4-8 possessions at best but it's likely to be even less.

if White plays, once again the possessions are likely to be low, but he is averaging about 1.5 goals a game this year.

And there's the ruck stats;

Moore - 1 game in the ruck, 2 hitouts
White - Season high of 13 hitouts

White is the more reliable option, would give better assistance as the second ruck and probably impact the scoreboard more.

But of course Moore has the much brighter future and long term will be a better player then White has ever been.

Depends if you really want to win, if the main aim going into this game is to win, White plays, if it's about development as well as winning, then Moore plays.

I'm fine with either by the way.

Reckon I am too at the moment. I can see the positives in both. If we are hell bent on playing finals this year we need to win this game so I think they may look short term, especially if Cloke is back.

My take on the decision was that they thought White was ineffectual as a forward and Moore might provide something different. They were also playing the two rucks so ruckwork wasn't an issue.

With Cloke and Reid back as the two key forwards, I can see the benefit of White playing ahead of Moore and Witts as the third tall and relief ruck.

Another pre-season for Moore and that opinion might change though.

depends where reid will play.. white is best suited at ff.. if collingwood want to play reid chf.. white might be the better option.

But I say there be more Chance of Moore Kicking more Goals in a Game then White. Is a Okay Chance.

I say it depends what Postion you playing the 2. IF it is in the Ruck then I say White get’s the NOD but as only a KPF then Moore get’s the Game

Reid is almost certain to play out of the goal square, just because we really don't want to push him too hard.

But I reckon White can play basically a CHF role playing outside 50 better then Moore would, at this stage of their careers.

Tough week for changes...[Mmm]
Cloke is a given if fit. [Yep]
Do we play White or Moore? [My gut says Moore, but OK with White as third tall/ruck]
Is Adams going to miss? [Tough mids to play against if not 'fully fit' - key player]
Do we reward the form of Karnezis and give him a run? [Doubt there's room]
Will Bucks bring back Goldsack who they have stated is best 22? [Hope they stick with Marsh]
Boy oh boy tomorrow night is going to be interesting at the selection table.
