I hope the knitting choir turn up at the airport! If they don't turn up, you know the Crows are running dead!

LOL at Swans fans throwing this sort of shit. Hopefully you'll get back to the SCG soon for your thousandth play of Sweet Caroline you young bucks.

True story, one of the 3 blokes I go to all the games with at the SCG, he works a lot in sdyney but lives in delayed. his girlfriend's name is caroline...every quarter time, he rings her, and me, my brother and Andy have to sing along to sweet caroline.

it's a bit embarrassing, but so's the choir! ;)

So marty have you conceded the coaches prefer Keath to Otten right now? I seem to recall you telling me multiple times that Otten played better only to have Keath selected and Otten dropped after the Collingwood game. Yes I know he was unavailable this week but Keath would have gotten the nod anyway.

I like how Keath often used his long reach to spoil on the weekend.

Still think he will be replaced by Hartigan, but at least it takes the pressure of rushing him back with Keath holding his own.

Competition for KPD spots could be hot next year.

When's Hartigan ready to play SANFL?

Definetly I said no change last week due to the height of Essendon but did expect otten in the week before

But will not say Keath is a better option than Harto especially after his first two games

But Keath has the ppportunity to maybe have a good good this week and get in the best standing either buddy or Reid or maybe tippet balls in his court

I don't really want to see Hartigan unless Keath's form drops, hasn't done much wrong at all. Keath seems to be a much better spoiler even if its not as aggressive he seems to find a way to get the hand in and get it away. No doubt he's still very raw though so I'm not naive to the fact he could get exposed. Hartigan on the other hand frustrated me a lot earlier in the year aside from the Port match. I posted sometime back I felt he had regressed eg the clanger kicks were back, his spoils were not timed right and we had a constant problem of both him, Talia and whoever else was there all going up leaving our goal side exposed. That spot in the side is definitely not one thats solidified for anyone, it's really going to be whoever is in form that keeps it.

Yeah pretty lame of Triple M to have that choir!

After securing top 2 yesterday I wasn't too fussed about winning this game on Friday but after visiting the Sydney board and seeing how cocky most of them are over there I just want to beat them now especially if we rest Tex and Sloane.

It would be great for our confidence if we can beat Sydney with Tex and Talia out

We're cocky because we've got our tails up after a bit of a hot streak. Beating the Cats at Geelong (again) was pretty sweet and then belting Freo was good times. So we're a bit full of confidence right now.

But for what it's worth, i think it's a pretty universally held opinion you guys are the best team in it when you're on. GWS maybe if they can get their team back before finals, but pretty much you guys then daylight. Cats are a one-man team, Tigers are flaky, and no one else really rates a mention. That's why so many of us are watching your changes thread with so much interest. We know it's going to be tough.

In fairness the Geelong board was much the same, mostly because of the fact they've had the wood over us for ages so it's probably fair enough for some of them to just expect 'business as usual.' Depends how much most of them have seen Adelaide play but it's pretty clear that we are not the same side as last year and that we've improved quite a lot.

The biggest difference compared to our most recent clash is that this year we aren't carrying a cooked Thommo, Matt Crouch has become a star, Brad Crouch is a much better player, Greenwoods come in to make immediate impact and Douglas seems to be in good form so our biggest weakness of the midfield is in very decent shape. We are still a little prone to go missing for matches or chunks of them but consistency is building.

I also think our attack has become much more diverse and harder to defend as a result. Last year we scored a lot from getting out the back which sides as well drilled and structured as Sydney don't allow easily. This year on the other had we've been lowering our eyes so much more and lacing out. Then there's the Geelong game where we just got it long deep and went for a lot more manic pressure goals so we've kicked scores in a lot more ways this year.

Lastly throw in it's going to be played on our home deck and not the smaller confines of the SCG which suit them much better. There's absolutely no reason why we can't win this and even win it by a few goals if we can impose our game on them. I'm not saying that will happen but if we have an on night they're going to be up against to stop us scoring all night while putting a big enough score on themselves.

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out, not a bad thing to get a look at Sydney just before finals whatever the result turns out to be anyway.

Play the best team available. Dont rest players. There is a week off in 2 weeks time, if we win the first final there is another week off. I dont want to have players potentially only playing 2 weeks out of 5

We relied on the forwards kicking most of the goals last year. Tex, Eddie, JJ, Tommy, Charlie and Gov kicked 276 of our 396 goals last year, 70%. This year those same players have kicked 193 of 333 so far, only 58%. Otten, Sloane, Dougy, DMack, Smithers, Rat and Knight have all kicked 9 or more. If you add Otten's 19 to the main six for when JJ and Gov weren't playing you still only have 63-64%. A better range means harder to stop. There were games last year when our main guys kicked all of our goals in a game. I don't think that's happened this year.

Out: Sloane?(inj) Talia?(inj) Walker?(inj)
In: Gallucci/Seedsman, Doedee, Menzel?

Not overly fussed with this game. If cats beat pies at the mcg and richmond beat freo & saints which they will, the swans cant make the top 4. Get injured players rested and play full strength v wce. Finals here we come.

They have every right to be cocky. They can't be taken lightly the ole swannies... Whilst we sit at top spot, they are def a team who's got the wood over us in recent times. Hopefully we can snag this one on friday night..
