im talking about minson playing forward he cant mark, where skipper can, so stick him in forward line and try him out, rotate minson and hudson off bench..... we can`t do any worse can we...?????

Playing 3 slow big men is a liability, it's either Minson or Skipper. Our midfield and forward line will suffer too much from it. If Minson can start holding those marks, I would rate him as a much better forward then Skipper.

It seems like O'Keefe has done enough to demand a spot and should be rewarded. My only concern is his pace. we seem to be slowly, player by player, moving away from the super quick team of a few years ago. My concern is that if we are not going to play any talls at all then super pace has to be our point of difference. Can any of the Willy watchers comment on his pace please.

Also, if he is rewarded with a spot hopefully it will serve as some motivation to Grant to show some desperation and force the selectors to play him. From reports and the two games i have seen him play he seems happy to coast.

You are right, what point of difference ? our small super quick adaptable forward line doesnt cut it anymore. Neither are we quick through the middle anymore

I agree with you bulldogsman, and IMO, by Skipper performing so well at VFL level consistently, Hudson and Minson have to feel some sort of pressure towards their position in the team, and must feel the need to perform week in, week out, which will hopfully bring the best out of their games.

sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't see it anywhere...

Could someone please tell me why Liam Picken was out last week?

Team balance - no good having two specialist full forwards with Addison there :D

He'd copped a few head knocks in recent weeks including the incident where Ballantyne was suspended for 2 weeks.

I reckon Welsh, Murphy & Picken to come in for Cross, Everitt & Stack.

Picken and Murph will be back, what I.m interested in is who will pick the slack in the middle with Cross being out. Cooney, Eagle and Griff should, but I bet they won't they'll leave it to the Ward kiddie and Picken the lazy shits

I'm curious to know why no-one is suggesting dropping Wood. I mean he went okay, or do people want to keep him in because we need a midfielder?

Probably more because out of the fringe players last week he was one of the better ones that was actually willing to take game on and run through middle and follow instructions. Some of the others were embarassing to watch, mainly Stack who looked like he had dipped himself in a bath of oil prior to match as he couldn't hold a mark, keep his feet or even get a single clean posession.

Because at least he f***ing tried, unlike a few of his more established teammates....

That's a negative way of looking at it Fred.

Being a supporter of a club, it is a lifetime commitment. You choose a club and then follow it for life. You don't have any choice in the matter. Well, you can always change clubs but then what is the point of that, any premiership will be a hollow one. So, your happiness or otherwise football team supporting wise is with mother destiny. You have no control over it. So you just suck it in,enjoy the journey and hope like hell we can win a premiership in our lifetime. That's all we can do.

I have a belief that in a parallel universe somewhere in the galaxy, there is a Western Bulldogs football club with 20 premierships. It's motto is "We exist to win premierships". We keep Quinlan, Round, Chris Grant wins two brownlows and Jarman does his hamstring early in the 97 final. That is in another parallel universe. It's just my luck to be stuck in this one.
Nice one TBFB!! LOL . We should talk to Richard Branson.....maybe he can send us there!!!
