Our “run and gun” approach blew up in our face today. Perhaps, we’ll haver better luck against GC. I wouldn’t bet on it. Our style of play guarantees a famine or a feast - it’s a very binary approach. I’m sure Clarko will tweak things.

Are you sure about that? How would you improve the structure by removing someone who has legs and toe? And then replace them with players who have equal liability?
Goater just faster and more athletic. Bergman better skills. Either one benefits the side. Howe does have a more mature body and better tank, gets in good spots to receive the ball, and again played decent today.

Just hard seeing a backline with absolutely no run or speed whatsoever. Howe would be the fall guy in this situation. I prefer Tucker over him only due to his foot skills but he looked slow today and wasn’t in the right spots to get the ball. Reckon that either one of them going out is the only way one of get in Goater or Bergman.

So the problem is McKay. He was ****ing horrendous today.

OUT: Larkey :poo:, Simpkin 🩹, Turner 🤡, Corr 🤠, 100% Zone Defense 🦥🦥
IN: CCJ/Ford, Greenwood, Curtis, Bergman, Going man-on-man every now and then:menholdinghands:

Unlikely to happen, but…

Out: Turner, Greenwood/Cunners (can only have one of them), Simpkin (injured) and Taylor (unlikely to be dropped, but was poor today)

In: Curtis, Laz, Hall and Bergman

That was pretty woeful today, so a few guys (at least) are going to have to get the axe if Clarko want's standards to be met.

Out: Simpkin (inj), Taylor, Turner & Tucker
In: Curtis, Goater, Bergman & Hall.

Out Jy (inj) Turner (omit) Taylor (needs a rocket)
In Bergman, Greenwood, Goater
Sub Turner

Move Sheezel to the forward line.

1 game in the vfl doesnt warrant an automatic call up the following week..Sorry Paul Curtis..

I think it does when it’s a choice between Curtis and Turner notwithstanding the message it sends about rewarding good form in the 2s

Yup, surprised we didn't play Cam in there more. He was great last week.
His big midfield minutes were a massive reason why our mids dominated freo. In the 2nd quarter today after jy went down we were getting pantsed in the clearances and finally won one and got the ball forward when Zurhaar was put on ball, only for him to not get any mid time in the 2nd half.

I
Corr stays for mine we need games into this trio to gel. I don’t think we have had them all for at the same time. We can afford to give them a few goes to see if they develop that cohesion. Their attributes can compliment each other.

Out Jy (inj) Turner (omit) Taylor (needs a rocket)
In Curtis Hall Goater
reckon he’s still pissed off when Clarko sort of made an example of him after he missed that straight in front goal during the Freo game .

If he is that’s a worry
