Ziebell to play forward next week, to tall in defense and this will help larkey, turner finally out, thank god, hall must come in

Think Free has to play for Goldy, need a competitive, aggressive ruckman and he is playing very well. Bergman, Goater, Curtis come in. Must let Corr, McKay and Logue play together. They were shocking but need time to gel.

IN Free, Bergman, Curtis, Goater
Out Goldstein, Howe, Turner, probably Simpkin inj
Shegga so you think dropping an experienced nearly 300 gamer for a guy that has played **** all wafl and vfl games is a good idea

Out : McDonald ,Turner , Taylor ,Scott and Howe . In Hall , Curtis , Goater , Bergman and Perez .

This group of players is a worry. Mostly pathetic plodders . Clarkson must be regretting his decision ATM . That was the most insipid performance I’ve seen for a long time . How can one guy be free in the forward line not once or twice but at least 6 times .. WTF . I felt like throwing my mobile phone through the TV . Terrible terrible performance. YUK .
Mate we are a long way from the finished article in terms of list management , Clarko knows the challenge

Out - Turner, Howe, Tucker, Cunnington (sub)
In - Curtis, Goater, Bergman, Greenwood

Turner 0 tackles is just unacceptable in that role.
Howe is a liability with ball in hand.
Tucker needs to dominate VFL before being a walk up start for mine.
Greenwood has been more influential then Cunnington two weeks in a row after coming on as sub.

I'm a bigger fan of Hall than most but there's definitely a Hall-shaped hole in that backline. Ziebell, LMac, McKay, Logue, Hall, Sheezel, Bergman has more balance as a back 7 imo. In a totally ideal world, Hall is replaced by TT and moves to a wing, where he competes with one of Scott and Tucker, but such hypotheticals are ****ing pointless

Have to look at him. We are super slow out of the backline but Clarko won't move Jack or LMac so we aren't getting it fixed anytime soon

It’s an impossible task . The shaw and Nobel years have done a lot of damage. Seems irreversible.

Tucker enters the back half as a last minute replacement for Bergman, has a decent game, and then Clarkson leaves him there the next week. It's a decent enough decision, but I think it's already time to can the experiment.

Time to bring Bergman back in for his ball use. I'd understand the decision to bring Hall in as well.

Powell/Phillips have rotated at times as the forward who pushes up the ground into the middle. I'm assuming that's the role we recruited Tucker for, but who knows if Clarkson is happy to switch him there without seeing some form in the VFL. If so, then give Powell/Phillips/Zurhaar some more midfield responsibility and have Hall or Bergs take Simpkin's spot. If not, then enter Lazzaro? Or do we go slow and let Greenwood play the entire game.

Curtis for Turner is a no-brainer. Turner was a good story for the first couple of weeks, but is ultimately too limited of a footballer.

Our outside options are absolutely putrid. Shiels is fine, low upside, turns 32 in a couple of weeks, and probably retires at the end of the year. Taylor manages to hit the scoreboard so gets a passing grade for his HF/Wing role. Scott is having a poor year in my opinion. Howe finds the footy better than the other options, but has the worst ball use. The rest of the mid/fwds are either inside types or low possession goal kickers.

It won't happen next week, but Clarko needs to fix this. Goater needs wing time sooner than later. Tucker and Lazzaro may offer something. If Hall isn't picked this week, then it's a sign that Clarkson doesn't trust his ball use. In that case move him up the ground and see if he can save his career and fill a position of need. Outside of those options, we're likely looking at trying to fix this in the spring.

Getting beaten badly in ruck. Get someone in who is aggressive. Let's look for next ruckman, next flag. Old blokes in team should play if playing well and not holding anyone back. Goldy not playing well and holding back Free. Goldy can play 300 later in year.

If you’re going to drop Goldy, I’d rather CCJ. Free is very agricultural.

I didn't rate Free on the back of his ungainly set shot, but no question, he's been going well; kicked two in general play yesterday, and gets around the ground ok. Doesn't mean you necessarily pick him, but he's showing more now than I initially thought.

While we are likely to persist with Corr, Logue and McKay for a few weeks, I hope Clarko starts thinking about alternatives for the third KPD. Whether that be Bons or Dawson (as a leaner faster rebounding interceptor KPD). In addition to Ziebell, we are effectively playing 4 KPDs atm.

Long story short, we need to drop Corr for one of Hall/Bergman/Goater.

I get the logic, but I'm not sure you could honestly pick CCJ on form - he was serviceable yesterday, but that's all
I wouldn't pick him either and Goldy won't be dropped until X is back, but I would rather CCJ than Free as a replacement.
