In - JJ, Witherden, Brander
Out - Kelly, Waterman, Ryan (Suspended 1week probably)

Make a statement with Kelly - Gaff at least ran and contested hard despite some stupid decisions, Kelly never looked into it.

Petch was ok - should have been rewarded for a tackle or two and at least did some half decent small forward stuff.

Duggan and JJ to take over Kelly's slack in the middle (Edwards to be played less off a HFF also)

Need our players to know that no matter how many picks you were traded in for or how silky your highlights are you're expected more of than that disinterested effort we saw today. Kelly was positioned around the ball far more than Shuey or Yeo today and did sweet fa hanging around the outside standing still waiting for a handball receive. No doubt he's in our best side but think he and the team need a message.

Out: Kelly McGovern petrucelle waterman, Ryan Sheed.

in: H Edwards, Jones, Foley, west, witherden Langdon.

Out: Waterman In: Langdon (earned it in the WAFL)
Out: Ryan (if suspended) In: Jones
No other changes. The top 5 have cleared out, and we're in a battle at the bottom end of the 8. If we extricate ourselves from the mess, these will be the players that do it. If not, that's just where we are in 2021.

Outs: Ryan will get a week, Barrass if he’s hurt, Cole / Ledwards - coin toss
In: Jones, HEdwards, Witherdon

were not dropping Kelly, Gaff, Hurn realistically, nor should we. Gaff and Hurn were instrumental in our previous 2 wins.

Need to make a statement.
Out: Ryan, Barrass, Gaff, Cole,
In: JJ, Hedwards, West, Witherden.

On notice: Kelly.
If you want to make a statement -drop players that didnt compete -Wateran & Ryan. Waterman is a joke and Ryan squibbed it (as he did against the Tigers) if not suspended.

Gov was ineffective and should go and get fit. Others had a crack but we a were beaten by a far better team on the day. Edwards had his first game against a red hot AFL team, but he was in several contests and will develop.

We need weapons, Witherden needs to come in for his kicking lerngth and creativity, Cole is vulnerable, Rotham is defensifely suspect but offers more attack. Duggan is safe.

I think Barrass is injured so Harry gets a go. Thus who playes on Buddy?

JD works hard but is undersized as a CHF - he is now getting belted. He should take Watermans spot and either Allen or Rotham go to CHF. This needs to be JK's last year as while great he is now limited.

We need to be realistic. For example Allen is not the great forward we parrot (yet) but is a great prospect. Dogs showed us how strong big forwards should play. (Norton)

Of the mids, we had to bring in Shuey and Kelly to build for the remainder of the season - they are a clear class above the other options we have. Gaff is safe for his work, Redden and Sheed l didnt have the class.

Petro was better than Waterman and Ryan but must run to chase and defend or get dropped (he quit with many others). JJ for me.

He was playing his third game, it was too intense for him, there is no shame in that. He will be back but he was poor today.

As opposed to the rest of our star studded midfielders that didn't exactly cover themselves in glory .......... oh sorry I forgot Ledwards was the one meant to set the standard and lift the rest of the midfield cohort..... silly me.

Waterman shouldn't play for us again, cant tackle can never win a ground ball,
and doesn't chase

Also FU you Barrass another to Naughton

100% Trade Waterman he has no role in this team.
Such a wasted selection. Never want to see him play again. We all know he is Rioli's Jersey.
Brander in as Fwd when JK goes.
Wet & against a team with a deep midfield JJ was the better choice today.

Moving along.

INS - Debut West, Witherden
OUTS - Waterman, Rotham.

We need to stop looking our midfield is good. It isn’t as it gets bullied. It’s good on paper, but reality is they get lost.

It’s time to put heat on some senior players and start dropping them into twos. Sheed, redden, Cripps, shepherd - make their position insecure. One of these needs to spend a week in wafl this week.

Drop waterman.

Start simply rotating rotham, cole, with foley, Nelson. None of these are playing to level that warrants 20 games a year. They should rotate through.

Time to make some selection statements. In particular sheed who is one of the most inconsistent players we have. No Dom, as senior player, same output week in, week out please.

Out: Waterman - can anyone tell me what he offers us?
Kelly - go play in the WAFL and learn how pick up a ball cleanly.
Darling - has been sh*t for weeks now.
Barass or Gov - don’t care which but they can’t play in the same side

In: anyone with a bit of heart and desire please.
Hedwards, Foley, JJ

Barrass and gov were trying to hold an avalanche. Need to give them a break. Problem was pressure up the field. You expect barrass and gov just to stop every entry themselves?

Agree with everything except for Gaff being safe for his work. The bloke can meet his KM quota in his sleep, but his fitness is no longer a weapon particularly against better sides. 14 disposals I think for him today? Needs a spell in the 2nds to work on his game and rediscover how to play attacking footy.

Keen to cut Edwards some slack but he was well below our other mids. I want him to stay and develop.
