Gault would surely have to be the front runner after the North game as IMO Cox still looks quite lost/fumbly at times even with the amazing progress that he's made. Gault however looked the goods in both of the last two years NAB's so not sure if this will be the year it actually clicks for him, glad we kept him on the list for one last chance if he does carry his form in to the home and away season

I think I'll reserve judgement on just how good our depth is until mid-season.

I think we still need to see real progress from some of the young fellas to say we have real depth.
We need to see progress to be a finals threat, but as for depth? Having roughly 30 players legitimately laying claim to a best 22 berth, which is exactly what we have, is a fantastic sign of depth.

Does anyone know what Howe is like kicking for goal ,dead eye or average thanks in advanc
Was very accurate at open training before Xmas, but haven't paid enough attention to him to know what he's like on game day.

The back-up ruck/3rd tall forward role, appears still very up for grabs.

1st choice ruck Grundy/Witts

Back-up ruck/3rd tall forward between White, Gault, Cox and Grundy/Witts (whoever misses 1st ruck role)

I'm not a huge fan of Moore being the 2nd tall forward and back-up ruckman.

I'm gonna make the call and say that we should play Pendles 80% back and Swan 80% forward. It's time to have their class in the forward line and in defence and to take the load off them. Greenwood, Adams, De Goey, Crisp can all do the bulk of the centre-square crash and bash stuff.

Good in theory but I think you will find that in reality they will still be needed in the middle.

Might be a real option later in the year if our other mids are performing really well

I understand the theory. But I think at the end of the day, our coaching staff would be moronic to play one of the best 4 midfielders in the game, captain and proven match winner majority of the time behind the ball
