It was just called Es back in my day.
Maybe it's a cultural issue at his High School? He and 'Pinga'tore (libba) went to the same college.
For what it's worth I love JDG and expect him to be a Collingwood player for the next 10 years. Not that it makes it ok but if the allegations are true then he is no different to a huge portion of current AFL players. I just want the kid to get the best out of himself.

Between Cloke ($800k), Frost ($250k), Witts ($300k), Toovey ($300k), Macaffer ($250k) and possibly Williams ($250k) how much in cap space are we shedding? I took a guess in brackets.
That's pretty close to $2m in cap space.
Not even including Swanny's retirement.
Now we will almost certainly re-jig and front load contracts to take up the space, however at the very least on isolation, bringing in Wells and WHE for the above departures, it actually is good business.
I'm starting to warm more to Wells' pending inclusion.

Googs is a drug though, that's it's sole meaning. The only way I see it possibly not meaning that is if he had the nickname from when he was young but he stated high school

Agree, IF, there is an issue can't believe club/doctor is not aware and doing something about it.
At this stage though all we have is a rumour based on his nickname and a profile picture.
Makes me rethink the nickname I was given at school and here I was thinking it was because they couldn't pronounce my name.

Less so given his name is De Goey. Could be derived from that.
