Bit of class on the Port board ( haven't visited before ) post 5406. Want's pick 2 and Rioli for George. But still not happy with that Delusional :drunk:

There not the smartest bunch are they, will love to see there melts if we get the compo pick, the funniest thing is some of them think we owe them for taking the 2nd rounder off them for the pick upgrade last year😂

Jez Mclennan delisting is interesting only 22 medium defender and was likened to mcgovern in his draft, what happened

I would be melting big time if that happen. We most likely getting a top 3 draft pick in a super strong draft.

Our future picks should be untouchables.

If we're not offering pick 2 this year, we sure as hell won't be offering the 1st next year

That's pretty spot from Robbo imo

Lol Whately is such a flog, 2 top 10s please

Tbf if he was our player, we’d all be saying 2 top 10’s. I’m not even as high on Jackson as most but his resume is pretty impressive, most rucks are no where near as good as he is at this age.

He was a pick 3, rising star winner, premiership player, helped turn a Grand Final on its head… there’s no way you can sit here and saying he’s only worth one top 10 and a 2nd. Cerra literally went for 6 and a future 3rd and he’s a dime a dozen outside midfielder

That's a decent argument. I was a little taken aback at the suggest of a first and a second but you're dealing in a known commodity in a position with a thin talent pool. I would rather see us cluster first and second round picks and build a dynasty than trade high picks for Jackson although at 20 years of age, I wouldn't fight too much as he would be an important building block along the likes of Allen, Hough, Chesser, Culley, etc.

Oh I 110% agree, I don’t want to trade for him unless the deal is fairly favourable to us which isn’t going to happen obviously.

I’d much rather just stand pat and attack the draft personally, splitting 2 for a top 8 pick and another first is my dream move

Jackson would have one of the highest trade values in the competition, even despite his relatively poor couple of months. Not sure why anyone would try to deny that.

I can't see how we get our hands on him without losing that second pick. The only other commodity on our list who is in his ballpark for trade value is Oscar Allen, but that's obviously not happening.

Our list is in such a poorly composed state that we need to redress the balance by concentrating on the midfield for the next couple of years and that starts with #2 in this draft.

To be honest, I don't mind him going to Freo. With Sean Darcy on their list, I can't see them ever getting the best out of Jackson who is clearly a better ruckman than he is forward. I read reports they might try to turn him into a tall midfielder but how often has that worked? Adam Goodes is the rarity amongst many failures where this has been tried. It worked for KPP's Richardson on a wing (for one year) and the occasional spell from Pavlich.

Imagine the dream scenario where Jackson gets stuck behind Darcy, his trade value plummets over the next couple of years and we woo him for relatively cheap to take over the spot NicNat vacates... :beercheers:

I'm a Jackson fan, reckon he's a gun, but name me a player whos gone for 2 top 10 picks

2 top 10s is fantasy land and neither WA club will pay that

Has a game ever inflated a players standing than last years GF for Jackson?

We are talking about a guy who had an equivalent year to Bailey Williams.

He isn’t a proven quantity yet, would be worth pick 10 at best.
Pick 3 - great prospect but Jack Watts went pick 1. Jackson is now worth picks based on current evidence and an estimate of his development potential. Will S summed him up, not a ruckman and not a FF. A hybrid??

It seems like Georgiades really doesn’t want to come home anyway, that’s now him, his manager and Rhino who’ve played it down

Also, I don’t think Georgiades is a good pairing with Oscar, that’d a really undersized KP forward line imo

JD,OAllen and Georgiardies would be great. Mobile, high marking, a very hard matchup.Makes Collingwoods forward line look tiny
