Odd to announce just Langdons movement but no other delistments like Trew, Winder or West?

Guessing 1 has a contract, 2 don't.
Haha

Expecting the eagles to announce everything at once and clear up any loose ends is as likely to succeed as asking you to stop repeating memes from the last decade

Hi All, please excuse the incursion. I need some clarification on one of your own in BigFooty.
random260 is going after the Hawks at an open BigFooty site for the Hawks trading Mitchell and Jager.
Personally I am relieved that Mitchell is gone (Worpel can cover) but JOM was a surprise.

Does random260 speak for you on the Hawks reset?
Agree with him or not… at .. Roast - Hawks Blatantly Open About Tanking

the only thing that sh!ts me about this post is.. random260 will get a crap load of reactions out of this.

My only hope is that WC supporters look into this unic’s history and give say what is deserved, and if that is not possible… tell others that they do not support, the quality that is not there.

He does have a point though.

Your leadership team from this year is totally gutted bar 1 I think. All of them.

You can't do that with your experienced players and not expect the wooden spoon. Hawks going all out for the #1 pick next year.

I’m failing to see the issue here.

Are the Hawks openly and blatantly tanking?

Yes.

Is it a smart/legitimate rebuild strategy?

Yes.

(I’m a Philadelphia 76’ers fan who lived through the Hinkie era, if anyone knows about tanking, it’s a 76’er fan)

Is it a good look?

No.

Will it be hotly debated for the next 36 months?

100%.

It is my strong belief that the Hawks will win more games than the WC next season. If and when that happens, are you saying a team that looses is tanking.

Want a bet?

If you win, Dark Sharks will delete his account.

Yes! How can we make that happen? What is my downside here?

Did one of your own just nominate one of your own Dark Sharks to have their account deleted … if I win a bet I never made... and he never made… and I have no consequence! WTF.

I have stepped into a puddle that is deeper than I knew.

Alite out!

Personally have no problem with what Hawthorn is doing... Especially with their history. They know what they're doing. It doesn't mean it's going to work again, but they've made it quite clear (and even publicly said so, which is a fairly bold move) what they are looking to build.

Tanking for mine comes back to the Melbourne era of coaches blatantly ****ing with the gameplan, making moves that serve no strategic purpose either for that game, the near future or even the medium-distant future.

Playing your 18-year-old first-round key forward all season even though he is clearly a year or two shy of being ready for the grade... Play on. You are running the risk of physically or mentally damaging him and that's on your head if it comes to pass, but you may also fast-track his development and in year #3 he breaks out for a 60+ goal season.

Moving three middle-aged defenders into the forward line for the first time in their careers when you're up by 2 goals against the only team below you on the ladder... GTFO here.

Hawthorns history of zero loyalty will come back at them one day. No 28 year old alive will sign 2 contracts with them thereafter, at 28 you would demand a 4 year deal or bail at this point. If you sign a 2 year deal Hawks will boot you after the contract and you will have a earlier then you wanted retirement

You are correct.

Bond alluded the other day that one of West, Winder and Trew have a contract and as West was at the off season training session yesterday one would assume it's him.

Still wouldn't mind Winder being given another year as a MID however. Showed a bit towards the end of the year in the WAFL but it would also make sense if he is cut given we seem to be clearing the decks a bit.

I'd be happy if he was cut with a possibility to be picked up after the draft as a rookie. We need his spot on the senior list and he probably has not justified staying on as anything more than a long shot - ie rookie

Because everyone loves Mitchell, they will get away with anything they do too. The media will blame the racism report as a distraction and give them a free pass for coming last and picking up Reid

Also he will no doubt tell recruiters he loves living close to his family and friends in Melbourne
