North melting pretty hard on their board right now, good reading. Also surprised the crows skipped on Carmichael, being a SA bloke and all.
Wonder if that's why all their recruiters left.

You want us to pick who in the midseason draft??

What I like is the notion of "It doesn't matter how they got on - but they are on our list".

Our draft haul or players turning 19 this year of J Williams, Bazzo, Hough, Chesser and now Culley looks good. The start of a rebuild.

After discussing with Eastcoasteagle, I have categorised Culley as Balanced. He looks the only balanced mid we will have on our list in 2 years time.

For the first time since the Shuey draft - well done Pieman, you finally prioritised an inside/balanced midfielder. I am happy for a change.

L Edwards and Chesser will be balanced mids IMO.

Saw Luke standing next to someone who was big and I was surprised how tall Edwards was, and not that much smaller.

Chesser also isnt small.

So size isnt an issue......on this topic! ;) :embarrassedv1:

Disappointed we didn't take Florenca. Needed a downgrade in my supercoach so brought in Florenca for $103k, thinking I was a genius.

Now I have a $103k non-AFL listed player on my supercoach bench.

At least you had a chance.

Ive had a mate do the reverse. Starting the season with a player who retired but is still listed. They dont believe you so you send them a link to his retirement press conference. :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

So is there any real smoke on Robertson or is it more just a BF fantasy?

He’s out of contract, from WA and struggling to break into his side’s best 22.

Perfect recipe.

Or Allen

Or Edwards

Allen on his podcast said Edwards and him might have made it back for the last round if things went well, so they decided to shut them both down for the year.

Cole is the one who will be back

For me while I still expect us to finish 17th I've gone back and watched the replay of the Academy vs Collingwood VFL side and Wardlaw did something I have only seen a couple of times in my life. In the first half he tried to play like he did against kids who he could brush past and got caught a few times etc. The second half he comes out and plays distinctively different, is much more effective and takes action knowing he's not the big fish in the little pond. Normally that sort of change takes years or never happens as the players bodies develop and they are then able to perform like they did in the U18's.

For me he is now a very solid number 1 pick. It's not the skills, the marking, the kicking or anything else, but for a player to show that level of football IQ and the ability to change it up from 1 half to another in his first game against men in a team setting he hasn't played with before was absolutely unreal.

North Melbourne will love him.

It's early days but I get the feeling there's a couple of superstars at the top of this draft and then it drops off pretty quickly, and I think Warlord is one of the few absolute guns.
