How would you describe the cooking recipe at the Eagles atm? :embarrassedv1: :embarrassedv1: :embarrassedv1: :embarrassedv1: :sickv1::sickv1:

Rookie listed by West Coast in 2019 and delisted in 2020, Mitch O'Neill is looking like he may have been a premature delisting.

Max Ramsden probably the one I am most annoyed about missing out on...
Looks like a cross between Max King and Tim English

Any idea why we passed on Florenca? Someone sneaky to return near the end of season?

Probably doesn't fit the age profile of a rebuilding team aiming to get games into kids, tbh.

Can always take another look at him at the end of the year, after retirements/delistings are done.

L Edwards and Chesser will be balanced mids IMO.

Saw Luke standing next to someone who was big and I was surprised how tall Edwards was, and not that much smaller.

Chesser also isnt small.

So size isnt an issue......on this topic! ;) :embarrassedv1:
Not counting could be as I was told Duggan and Venables will be midfielders

I’d rather keep it in the care gas having shown enough (initially WAFL or u18) or better still at AFL level

Lochie Neale and P Cripps as 2 examples show that size is less important

Feel a bit bad for Florenca. At 25 he doesn't have too many more chances to get on an AFL list, sounds like he's been playing his best footy and even impressed in his one chance at the highest level. He couldn't have done more at this point in his career.

That said, imagine if we picked him up and he instantly came in and improved our midfield - of course he's no A-grader, but say he helped us get over the line in an extra game or two and we dropped a few spots in the ND at the end of the year. There'd be more than a few people upset that we picked a mature age role player and then cost our first chance at a genuinely top end pick in over a decade.

Agree I feel bad for him also.

But another potential alternative is he gets selected then is gone in a list squeeze 6 months later (probably closer to 4-5 months in reality)

If that was a reasonable possibility then it is better for all we didn't take him.

JC it is for the nickname of our number 1 pick tonight.

Hedging our bets.

Pick either.

Jai Cully
Josh Carmichael

Either one - JC is the nickname.

Next minute we call out : Max Ramsden.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gets nicknamed C C ( charcoal Chicken ) or chook as someone else mentioned . Aussie nature of tall poppy keeping a bloke humble . JC is way to hard to live up to .

Nah.

Train Smash would be a better description.

This could get interesting.

If the Eagles season was a cooking recipe, what would it be?

Pics of said recipe will gain extra points for effort. ;) :clapping: :clapping:

Road kill

Really excited but adding Culley

Great size, moves well, nice long kick on him and seems to have a great attitude

Given his improvement in the last 12 months and dedication, will be exciting what he can do with AFL support

Now add Warlord (pick 1) and Roberton (trade) and Piemam can go nuts on talls and flankers with midfield potential

It also highlights how genuinely so many players on our list have taken the piss with regards their preparation and motivation to be on an AFL list, improve and win. A guy getting paid jack shit as a part timer improves more than they do, without 6 coaches/assistant coaches/development coaches etc.

Shame no mid season trade where you can dump one of our non performers to a WAFL club for a player like him
