I really want to know how Naish went from early season player who showed signs to a near delist certainty.

Also regarding Witherden, does anyone think we are actually going to delist him? I doubt it
Witherden is better than Foley and Nelson but he's out of contract so will most likely be cut.

Cheers.

I doubt you'd entertain it either, and as I said, I doubt we have the $$$ to make it even close to compelling. I know unexpected trades occasionally pop up out of the blue, but if Barrass is a Bulldog next year, I'll eat my hat!

* not a real hat, one ideally made out of something edible!
Both you and your hat are safe.

Only when Nesbitt leaves can the TRUE rebuild in progress be recognised, it's a bit like ricciuto (spelling), the place won't be totally cleaned until he's gone, same applies for Trevor.

Unlike Ricciuto, Nesbitt does at least have a proven history of overseeing success as an administrator.

That’s not to say it isn’t time for him to move on but he’s miles ahead of Ricciuto.

Has family in Melbourne, probably not going to get another shot at a flag here, probably still embarrassed/ashamed at the way he *ed the club over for 2 years. Honestly him leaving makes a bit of sense from his perspective. Plus Obeanie1 's Essendon rumour
Please don't be essendon . Dealing with essendon seems like the most painful thing in the trade period .

At least they don't have a pre season draft threat

Nah, Naish just can't play. Got a ton of ball in his first few games. Got to do more than just get the ball to be AFL standard. There's lots of players like this. Dare I mention the "P" word, but Matt Rosa is another. They're possession monkeys. Tons of ball, no hurt factor, and often poor decision making and disposal.

Have a look at SPP. Having his best season. Getting a ton of ball. Lots of it contested. Wines has dropped off and SPP seems to have replaced him as the bull. Look where they are on the ladder. There's other reasons, but Wines near his peak would go a long way.

Foley isn't a defender. We've tried to force the issue with playing him there, but he should really play further up the ground.

Was drafted as an accumulating midfielder with neat skills. Why is he being played as a back pocket?

Because he struggled as a midfielder at WAFL level, moved back and thrived.

Ha! I knew NES-bitt would catch on eventually.

The phantom draft is interesting, I see Elijiah Powell has dropped into the teens now as he was ranked in the top 4 a couple of months back. Certainly looks like a strong draft anyway.
