Uni probably....Where's ROB?
Dem knees took a real beating remember...Rehny looks like he’s struggling to stand up
Rehny looks like he’s struggling to stand up
Tell Rank that I do take noticeNoticed that too.
Every chance that could happen ....there's a huge gap between the elderly & the pups .....won't take much for things to derail with GEEL
GEEL are so close to a rebuild ....not sure they'll be a destination club again for a few years .....every possibility GEEL won't play Finals this year, which will act as the catalyst
True ....but already we've seen the drop-off in the midfield, with Dangerfield's injury, & Cameron Guthrie .....Duncan just gets the old man's injury regularly now
Hawkins is 34 ...Dangerfield 33 ....Blicavs 32 ....Ceglar 32 ......Rhys Stanley 32 .....Issac Smith 34 ....Duncan /Rohan 31
No-way GEEL are playing Finals in the short - med term
No chance
Can't believe anyone would still trot this stuff out.
Congrats.I wouldn't normally dredge this up, ....however, StonesThrow given your sharp-edged response to my GEEL pre-season prediction .....I thought you might like to reply
In what way, remember him as a coach at port or being interviewed then, he was almost more boring than Hart.Rehny looks to have aged well. Would be great to have that bloke involved in the club again.
Let's forget about all the years this call has backfired when using exactly the same reasoning as you have.I wouldn't normally dredge this up, ....however, StonesThrow given your sharp-edged response to my GEEL pre-season prediction .....I thought you might like to reply
Didnt last that long at Brisbane with MathewsIn what way, remember him as a coach at port or being interviewed then, he was almost more boring than Hart.
Wow, didn’t realise that. We should have beaten Gold Coast in Darwin and the Essendon loss was a shocker. Both losses stunkI took a look at the ladder today and I was staggered to learn that although we went 11-12 (W-L) across the entire season we were actually 5-4 against the top 6 teams and we were 6-2 against the bottom 6 teams but we somehow managed to go 0-6 against the teams around us in the middle 6. This is clearly where our season was lost and you have to wonder about the psychology of the team to do so well against the best and the worst but so poorly against our peers.
Vardy Magic with his highlight packages.Who do we think has the best Crows content on socials that isn't AFC?
Not familiar with those games, sorry.Hi non-Crows fan here but footy lover. I have been watching finals from the 1990s recently including 1997. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this particular year.
Do you realise how insane and out of the box that premiership was?
Crows were a solid team all year and deserved their spot no doubt but the prelim and Granny were wild.
#1 Prelim - I watched the whole last quarter yesterday and that might be the biggest choke of all time by the Dogs. The game was over 10 mins into the last quarter, both teams looked to be playing out the game leading to the inevitable result and the commentators were already talking about a Dogs v Saints granny. Dogs had without exaggeration 8 opportunities to completely ice the game. Terrible kicking and decision making stopped that occurring and the Crows came from ******* nowhere and you know the rest.
#2 Granny - Obviously Jars last quarter effort is legendary, my favourite goal was his last where he seemed to grab the ball out of thin air and snap it for the sealer - just exquisite skills, an all time great.
I don’t think Shane Ellen’s effort is talked about enough though. The man kicked 5 in a Granny as a defender. Previous to this game he had kicked 3 goals his whole career including none for the entire season until the granny. He then only kicked another 8 for the rest of his career. This is absolutely unheard of these days and I doubt there has ever been anything like it. It’s one of the all time best AFL stories and that flag is like no other.
Anyway that’s all I wanted to say, needed to vent. I am hurting for you as you were obviously robbed and wish you all the best next season.
