I've been a bit bored now footy has finished and I had a think about who in my opinion was the best player I've played against at the current D3 clubs.

North Brunswick - Joe Boudoloh
St Johns - Corey Ely or Dan Cattolico
Power House - Paul Edwards or David Burnside
Canterbury - Scott Fitzgerald
Richmond Central - David Speakman or Seb Angus
Swinburne University - Atilla Yaman
Albert Park - "Cowboy" Bennett or Sam Lee
Box Hill North - Dan Penny
La Trobe University - Stuart Patten
Eley Park - David Payne or Mick Viola
Chadstone - Francisco George

An interesting exercise. Who have you got?

Sam Lee was a jet, where is he playing this Season?

Some interesting stats.

Not one of the bottom 6 teams -Swinburne Uni , La Trobe Uni, Albert Park, Box Hil North, Eley Park and Chadstone defeated a top 5 side all year.

St John’s has a 29 point differential for and against (93 to 64) over the top 5 sides.

North Brunswick and Powerhouse differential is 14 points.

Canterbury differential is 5 points.

Richmond Central differential is minus 60 points against the other finalists.

Canterbury had 12 players named tomorrow who played in the preliminary final last year.

Good luck to all of the sides and may the better team win.

So it was like there was a D3 and D4 split the whole year. Colour me surprised.

with bulleen temp leaving, might only be one up this year with one coming down (wattle park?), dunno if they'd send aquinas down who finished 8th.

2 would go up from D3 to make D2 an even 10 sides. 1 would come down from D2 - WP, who've been pretty competitive this year, and full credit to them looking to push themselves

True, good call, with jocs/NB likely to leave it gives the former D4 clubs a bit of a break

Powerhouse only have themselves to blame - missed a bunch of easy chances in the second half.

Expecting the JOCS 2s to make light work of the Snakes ressies, who are destined for yet another choke job.

might be a little harder now that the snakes 1s are out, expect a few of the guys to drop back down to the 2s.
