It would be hella interesting to know who SOS was targeting.

Some cat and mouse between him and Wells I feel.

Was SOS after Stephens and De Koning or did Wells get bluffed.

Time will tell, but i am happy with who we picked up, especially Kemp.

Yep i remember/know him from his willo days too. Was a very talented basketballer but too undersized for the NBA imo. Could have been a very good NBL player in Australia if he stuck with it, but he can be a star AFL player.
He played in the u17 basketball world cup in Argentina .(There was also a player from Rockingham and one from my mob the Stirling Senators.)
Australia went pretty well only two points in it v Canada and V France. The USA beat France by 40+ points in the final.I reckon that would have given him an idea of what he would be up against in the world of big league basketball. He turned down the future NBA international academy for footy and they only take about ten internationals per year.

He's gonna be shattered when he finds out he's undersized for a ruck too then ...

Dear me. Anyone would stay. Fancy a 19 y.o getting 850k a year with the AFL throwing in 300k a year.

I don't blame him, mad not to, but dont think for a second he would have stayed unless the AFL didn't step in.

Good luck with Ben good player.

You are paying Hannerbury 800k

Ben King should feel under paid in comparison

Only reason Blues 2nd trade makes sense is if knew Tigers wanted Philp and considering how long Tigers took and them being on the phone does seem as though that was the case.

If they were trading in for De Konig they would've done it after the Cats pick
Lol you think Richmond were on the phone because they wanted Philp? Who were they calling? That makes no sense.

They were on the phone because other clubs were enquiring about their pick before they made their selection. Obviously a satisfactory deal wasn't agreed so they proceeded with their selection. Pretty straight forward I would've thought.

Setterfield is not the one to start that shit with

You should show the godfather of list management more respect.

You know when I look back at Jaksch, Sumner, Whiley, Phillips, Kennedy, Pickett etc I often wonder “what if”....what if we didn’t have The Godfather when those players were selected, and what if The Godfather had not greedily snatched them from our grasp...

Anyone know how many 2020 deficit points GWS and Freo accrued matching those bids by SOS, who by the way has done his best work tonight.

Freo have 269.2 points to cover as they used picks 49, 52, 55, 58 and 73 to match the bid.

GWS owe 254 after matching pick 10 with 41, 55, 56 and 69.

If both teams finish in the same positions next season Freo will move from 6 to 8 and GWS from 36 back to 51.

Jaksch, sumner and whiley were not recruited when sos was at carlton, in fact he was still gws list manager at the time. Phillips was traded to essendon last month, Kennedy is still playing for us and had a year where he found his feet, looking to become a really solid player for us, and pickett was always a high risk but high reward which unfortunately didn't work out. All of these players were bought in for mostly 2nd-4th round picks, so please, enlighten me on how your little smart ass comment justifies making sos look bad.
