I’m sure of it if he eats up the work

Did running with mids when he trained with us and did well

Works in a phone box well and wins contested ball
I'd say he ends up like Eddie Betts with perhaps 10% more midfield time.

Which makes him an unbelievable player, but not a midfielder

Something that hasn't been talked about is who Twomey said we were interested in other than the guys with our first four picks

Will Hamill's an interesting one, he has some great tools but can't get enough of the ball at this stage, he'll really need to improve on that

Late picks a real stab in the dark for anyone like him predicting

Rookies usually have a more local feel too

I reckon rowey is trolling yous. I can't read any positive signs out of that AFC article with Hamish. Im almost certain we wont trade up now and if anything may give 21 away for a drop down the order this year and possibly a first round or very early second round pick from next year (if it is a early second rounder next year we better not drop far this year).

I'm as equally as excited about 8,13 and 16 as I am about 73 and 83 and our rookie picks. The latter ones will be where Hamish and the team really earned their keep and more than likely people we don't know much about. Almost certain there wont be a Hamish special this year.
Doubt we will use 73 and 83. We will go short on main list and go extra rookies

**** it. Get Luko in. Can't compare him to watts.
Watts was drafted to a club that had one of the worst player development programs in history. The amount of picks they managed to mess up is crazy.
Pretty sure if I remember correctly that we had watts as number one on our draft board that year.
If all goes to plan. We wouldn't need to worry about drafting a top end key forward for the next decade

Man, he's skinny, I mean like real skinny, 2 years away from AFL body wise.

Maybe they are expecting Luko at 2 and M King at 3 so know they won’t get an elite tall. Would make sense then to trade down if they want Smith.
That does make sense.

For all their talk I still see them trading down and expesically in the situation that King is gone.

No argument about our forward line if that happens. But the biggest gaping hole for the next decade appears to be quick mids to compliment Matt (and hopefully Brad). WMJ hopefully can do that. But as it stands if we do one thing in this draft, with all these picks, it’s set ourselves up in this part of the ground.

In terms of scratching an itch of finally drafting a #1 type kid, sure trading out 3 x 1sts for Luko or Rankine is the way to go. In terms of setting ourselves up for the next decade, I think it has to be take these 4 picks to the draft and hope like hell that Caldwell is the one that gets to us at 8.

Iva Bigun how many spots on your list do you have?

If you had 3,6,8 and 13 would you need 24?

If Caro is right and you have knocked back 6&24 for 4, it could be because you’ve already committed 24? Something like:

Crows out 8,13 and next years first, maybe in range of 10-16.
Crows in 2 and 24.

Effectively pick 2 for 8,13 & a decent pick upgrade. Plus you owe us for that needless 4th rd pick swap that got you Hombsch.

My thought was always for GC to take two talls and a mid at #6 ......but if they really want Rankine, they have to take him at #3 ....and then they'll be able to take Ben King at #6 .....so they still end up with 2 talls and a mid

He’s just letting the fans know we have tried , ive predicted this all along . We offer something that doesn’t get taken up but at least we tried and they can say ‘ we put up a fair deal to get one of the SA boys across the line but they didn’t go for it ‘

Smart PR
So We'll bid & it'll be rejected ? ......is that how you seeing it play out?
