We can’t trade next year’s first without getting another one in which is impossible by pick 2/3Iva Bigun how many spots on your list do you have?
If you had 3,6,8 and 13 would you need 24?
If Caro is right and you have knocked back 6&24 for 4, it could be because you’ve already committed 24? Something like:
Crows out 8,13 and next years first, maybe in range of 10-16.
Crows in 2 and 24.
Effectively pick 2 for 8,13 & a decent pick upgrade. Plus you owe us for that needless 4th rd pick swap that got you Hombsch.
No it isn't .....we trade next years 1st and get a 2nd or 3rd in return, as part of the deal .....it's easyWe can’t trade next year’s first without getting another one in which is impossible by pick 2/3
It’s on the proviso the AFL make shit up as they go alongWe can’t trade next year’s first without getting another one in which is impossible by pick 2/3
So everyone is melting about us offering too much and you reckon GC would knock it back.Yes for sure
Good luck with anything happeningNo it isn't .....we trade next years 1st and get a 2nd or 3rd in return, as part of the deal .....it's easy
Wasn’t there a GWS academy kid that Essendon put a bid on and GWS chose not to match. IIRC the kid was from Broken Hill. The name escapes me at the moment but I think it start with M.??Has anyone ever put in a bid on an Academy player that wasn't matched by their club?
Well, that's a real dampnerGood luck with anything happening
We will offer too much and they will knock it backSo everyone is melting about us offering too much and you reckon GC would knock it back.
Which is it? Does the proposed trade favour us or GC? It can’t be bad for both.
It's more a policyIsn’t the rule that you need to use 2 first round picks over a rolling 4 year period? So technically if we use 2 this year we could trade out our first round pick both next year and 2020 provided we keep our ‘21 & ‘22 1st rounders?
I'd say you dont either.
None of us could know I guessWell, that's a real dampner
Don’t mind that at all. Pace, midfield depth, bit of in your face niggle. Yah I dig it. Especially like the O’Halloran pick that later. Love Caldwell and am a fan of Butters. Just seems like a great personality.http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-11-20/callum-twomeys-2018-phantom-draft
Has us taking Caldwell, Butters, McHenry and O'Halloran, as well as making almost ALL the bids
PLEASE ....in future if you're going to dampen the moodNone of us could know I guess
I’ll leave my mind open but won’t expect it
It’s happened plenty of times kangas did it back to back with Watson and Williams - 2 QLD kids Brisbane and GC that weren’t matchedWasn’t there a GWS academy kid that Essendon put a bid on and GWS chose not to match. IIRC the kid was from Broken Hill. The name escapes me at the moment but I think it start with M.??
I actually think it’s better if it doesn’t happen ! Technically I’m brightening the moodPLEASE ....in future if you're going to dampen the mood
I'm saying this thread to hit 400 by Thursday
I actually have think we can do better eg one of RCD or Hately at 13Don’t mind that at all. Pace, midfield depth, bit of in your face niggle. Yah I dig it. Especially like the O’Halloran pick that later. Love Caldwell and am a fan of Butters. Just seems like a great personality.
I interpreted it as yes but also that other clubs clubs are wanting to trade up and are ringing us.Lol.
Now Im more confused.
Does that mean we are still fishing for pick 3?
That's much betterI actually think it’s better if it doesn’t happen ! Technically I’m brightening the mood
Sorry that doesn’t make sense. If anything this year there is more incentive for us to trade up and more for GC to trade down. Therefore we are more likely to offer overs and GC are more likely to accept unders, or at least a fair deal.We will offer too much and they will knock it back
It’s not mutually exclusive
There isn’t a ref sitting there on the side that says ‘ that’s a bargain GC -you have to take it ‘
