Any chance of Browne getting a run in the big time? Seems to get in the best every now and then and Vickery isn't really setting the world on fire. Not that I don't think Ty will be a super player, just he has a young body and looks like it. Browne seems like he might be worth a go to team up with Big Gus and see if we can develop an amazing ruck division over the next decade.

Undoubtedly.

Vickery ( and to a lesser degree Gus ), is just too physically immature to play ruck every week.

As for Cuz....I'd think the medical staff would have reservations about playing a guy who was in a coma just a few days earlier ( induced or not ) and will be watching his traing closely.

Only if they sign off on it does it become a discipline/list management question.

Would not bring Browne to get absolutely monstered by Sandilands and completely destroy his confidence. He is not ready.

I'd leave White in there. I've been his biggest critic in the past but over the past few weeks he has given the team something. He wasn't great against Sydney but his previous weeks have been good. You can't just drop a player after 1 sub-par performance.

Tambling needs a kick up the ass and a stint at Coburg. I don't care what he brings to the table but when I see a player jog to every contest and at times look embarrassingly lost it baffles me how he is selected every week. I trust Dimma sees/knows something I don't because he has been terrible! I am a believer of his ability and I just want to see him break a game open but he is 23 now and the signs should be much stronger as they are with Lids. I still have faith in his ability but he is looking like another Daniel Wells.

In: Nahas, Webberley
Out: Cousins, Tambling

Well you will never have a better chance. Tarrant wont' play, not will McPharlin or Grover so our 3 best defenders are out.
Barlow gone, Nat Fyfe (who has been excellent) also being rested.
You guys would just about go in favourites here now.

I don't think a team who has just got off the bottom of the ladder would ever go in favourites against a top 4 side... even if it is a home game against an interstate team in Freo.

We are very young and are coming off a 6 day break. There is no doubt that our chances look greater with the likes of Barlow, Fyffe, Tarrant etc not playing... but I think the odds will probably reflect our chances. Currently at $2.62 for the win.

We shouldn't be favourites, but with the above players not playing - especially Tarrant and McPharlin - we should be a lot shorter than that in my opinion.

conspiracy theory #785465-ou9 suggests the AFL are rubbing their hands together at the prospect of the tigers fronting up to the scum, on a saturday arvo at 2:10 pm, and going into the match on a 5 game winning streak along with a trillion rabid tigerheads from this planet and other as yet undiscovered universes.
It will probably be the game that decides whether the biggest come back since lazarus happens, whereby a team sitting on 46% and 0 wins after how many rounds? makes the 8. ;)

You would lock in 90k for that game if we did go in with 5 on the trot

Induced coma, brought upon by his own actions.

Bazz, if you innocently crash your car and spend two days in hospital for observation with no major wounds, and hence are unable to attend recovery/training, people don't tend to suggest you broke team rules. You would not be considered for match day that week since you haven't been able to meet the requirements, not because you "broke team rules".

I'd suggest breaking team rules would be making a conscious decision which you know is likely to result in you missing such mandatory sessions. A bit harsh to suggest this was the case with Cuz on this occasion. I'd be confident he had every intention of presenting at recovery and training when he fell asleep Sunday night.

Should be a great game. Fremantle are extremely depleted at the moment and I think not having a back line is a great thing when you are coming up against the current coleman leader.
Would have to think that we would get up.

Not looking good for us.

Almost our entire back half is missing: Tarrant, Mcpharlin, Grover and Broughton. That includes the first 3 choices to go onto Reiwoldt.

Mayne still out also (crucial for forward line pressure) and of course Barlow.

6 of our starting 18 and 4 of our stars.

Could be an upset this weekend.

Freo for mine: despite injuries they are a well drilled side, and have been very very consistent all year. We are a bottom side with a bit of spirit. As much as I loved the win against Sydney, the truth is, if it was Freemantle that day, they probably wouldnt have missed 7 set shots in the second half or let a 30pt lead slip away. Nor do we have the advantage of an extra week's rest to run out the last quarter.

if we found ourselves 30pts down against Freo, I dont think we're going find it possible to climb out of that hole. Freo >> Sydney.

We is getting ahead of selves.

How much of a disadvantage is it for Richmond to be playing at Etihad rather than the MCG? We seem to have worked out how to play Etihad OK, Richmond only played one game for a loss vs Saints.

Good luck 2night Tiger fans. Should be a good match, considering the outs for Freo and how well you guys have been playing. Shame Cuzzy isnt playing, I do enjoy watchng him live. :thumbsu:

Not as much this year as it has been in our recent past I reckon...
With the injection of some more skilled players & with Jack in peak form, the 'artificial' environment at Etihad suits us fine I reckon.

Some other thoughts & ramblings...

I wonder if McPhee will pick up Deledio in a tagging role and niggle the shit out of him? Lids has in the past been below his best when some prick gets inside his jumper with him!
Who goes with Pav? When in the midfield I reckon Jacko runs with him & when up forward Moore looks well matched... in good form + went OK agains Goodes last week.
& King on Ballantyne... & hope for some blood-flow! :p

I reckon we will go close to winning this & it may well hinge on if Cotchin plays... are those roooomors still circulating?

If Cotch plays I pick The Tigers... if he is out then Freo should get up.
