It's pretty crazy seeing HotKarlton with their 5 mids with 30+ and Brodie/Brayshaw is our best with 27 and the result goes heavily our way despite that. Crazy.

Would be a good focus for any review of the game.

On a more emotional note, that was tough. Lost my mother-in-law on Thurs night; she was at Denmark hospital and me and the missus didn't make it in time. Not gonna lie, she was a difficult woman, who made my life periodically hell especially in her latter years, but she wasn't well, both physically and mentally and I forgave her well before we lost her - she was a Freo fan and the reason I probably became one, although she had lost touch with the game in latter years and wasn't really watching or tracking the boys, she won't get to see this club finally lift the trophy in this life....but many here certainly will.

Plus, so proud to continue to the ANZAC round winning tradition on what's always an emotional night, a reflective night. Couldn't ask for anymore, so exceptionally proud of the gang - a stirring collective effort, the pressure is immense and the ability to GO is so damn exciting!! Am bleeding ridiculous levels of purple right now! 5-1 and only going to get better.......

Such a well rounded team performance. Smashed Essendon away, which the past few seasons were an issue and now finally beat Carlton- who are serial pests. Stoked to be 5-1. Team structure is spot on, a few squeaks to come- Treacy, Sturt, Erasmus to add with Fyfe (hopefully). Great to see fantastic depth and every player doing their role.
Feel like the next step, perhaps, is Geelong. Always a stubborn, experienced team of late. A competitive performance will be a positive, think the players would love to take another step further and take it up to them
