Tackling has been shite again. Got to pin the arms. Bombing it in. Tippett has done f'all. Plenty down and we need a massive response from a good half of the team. Hope Sando is peeling the paint off the walls!

This is a ******* disaster. All the stupid skill errors that didn't cost us in the last two weeks are really costing us big time now.

Shaw is having an absolute nightmare and just doesn't look cut out for finals at all. Our delivery into to forward 50 is SANFL reserves standard at best. Giving TIppett and Walker absolutely nothing to work with.

This is the first time Shaw has been really accountable this year. Hasn't played on someone with Goodes' class before. Was always going to be a risk playing a kid with so few games under his belt in a final, but this the only way they can get experience.

On a cruise ship in the middle of the pacific cannot watch anywhere:( just just scores again since halfway through the first quater what the hells happening? We better fire the hell up!!!!

Pretty much we are getting heaps of inside 50's but it's flooded with Sydney players, when it's not flooded the entry into the 50 has been poor and the ball drops short or spoiled. Plus our shots that we've had have missed, except two.

Sydney have had quite a few rebounds that have gone into space and they have kicked a few easy goals. On top of that we can't match up on Goodes, he's killing us.

this will be a disaster if we loose for several reasons.......

it will prove the easy draw theory was correct.
danger of next week against geelong annd then hawks hence straight sets exit and no GF.
collingwood will play Sydney in Sydney so likely a collingwood GF.
a waste of a golden oppurtunity these years dont grow on trees:(

They need to realise this and do something about it. most important quarter of the year coming up NOW!!!

We've had a better than expected year but we're not quite there yet. This really shouldn't be too surprising considering some of our recent form, so lets settle down, hope we can be reasonably competitive (I expect a late rally) and put it down to experience for some of our young guys. Sydney too good.

We can overrun this team, but that lost goal was a precurser to detonating fuse on a bomb.

We matched them in scoring shots again...

on the other hand we lost another second quarter as we do to most of the good teams

Sydney have faded the last few weeks, we do play well in the third.

if we get 2 goals back by 3/4, game is on.

They always a man one step ahead of us and everything we do, hopefully he tires.

And we have no defense

Sydney are a better side than Essendon and Richmond. Its not just the players that look off the ball today. Our structures simply aren't working.

We're just terrible bringing it in to F50...Porps, Mackay and VB all cocked up by just bombing long or trying to spot up impossible leads (none were under pressure at the time). Stiffy...ootf under no real pressure. Our problem for a good part of the year - not clean with the ball. Swans hitting targets every time. They're spreading faster both forward and back and we look hopelessly slow.
2nd half....play Tips out of the goal sq and Tex between 30m and half fwd. Sloaney needs to lift - he's been ordinary again today. Oh...and FFS...hard tag on Goodes....everything he's touching is turning to gold for them.
We're getting plenty of the ball so....here's hoping we can turn it around! Go Crowies!!!

All the stats suggest we should be winning, except the tackling. Sydney came out really hard and tackled like maniacs, surely they can't keep that up for 4 quarters.

If we keep up what we're doing we'll get back into it, but we need talia to go to goodes in the forward line, and someone to make lrt accountable.

1st thing i'd do is give Tippo the red vest

If you don't mind an outsiders suggestion... I think the opposite. Walker (who I rate) is trying too hard to have an impact... bring him off for the 1st 10 mins. Make Tippett your KPF out of the square. Give him the spotlight and ask him to perform. Put the smalls around him in Petrenko, Callihan, Johncock and Porps. Also remind Johncock to play the % team game.

Currently it looks like you'r playing Tippett high and Walker is being drawn too far out... leaving an unmanned defender on the last line... so put Tippett back. Open it up high and let the smalls/mids work in that space.

Other than that... perhaps slow down your entries, control via passes and work for a good set shot. I know it goes against your play-on game style all year... but Sydney/longmire are "awake" to it and mopping up rushed/pressured entries. You're even across the rest of the ground, so if your forward entries tidy up you're still within striking distance.
