Very good (not in order):
--- I'd forgotten how good it felt to win
--- Nicks' smile
--- Schoenberg
--- McAdam
--- RoB around the ground, intercept marking
--- Himmelberg contest/hard work
Very bad:
---
Unusual:
Sloane (pretty good game by him) post-game, looked lost, disengaged, maybe shocked?
Didn't look at Nicks when they embraced, barely smiled to Nicks and Kelly. Anybody else notice?
Good
Derwayne going real quiet when it appeared we were going to win. He was getting more excited and talking about a comeback by the Hawks constantly. Picking out Hawks frees all game. But when the Crows were dominating play he was as quiet as powa supporters in the 2007 GF.
EAD Derwayne...
RoB, for mine.Yeah I though O’Brien was mighty tonight. Is he favourite for the gold jacket?
At least he can get his own franchise nowMy god you’d be sour if you were a carlton fan knowing you gave up Shane Mcadam AND a 1st round pick for Mitch “KFC buckets” McGovern..
then you’d probably also remember that youre paying ol “buckets” $800k a year.. and you be absolutely ropable..
Reidy’s finest moment.
I don’t want to see Poholke again at afl level and I hope he isn’t on the list next year. I watch all the sanfl games too. He is too slow by physically and mentally for afl level. He is a good sanfl player because the game is slower, but unlike other slow players, he is a slow decision maker too.Kelly and Poholke worst on.
At the end of last season, how stoked would you have been if you were told that next season we’d be beating Hawthorn, away from home, in the first week of September. Are we the first team to win a game in september AND the wooden spoon?

I wouldn't get carried away with that win. It was great to finally get the monkey off the back but hawks are a rabble. The positives were the kids. Great effort by them. Club needs a massive offseason in trade and draft. It's perspective. We still on our arse and achieved nothing. I'm sure Sloane is happy just not doing cartwheels.

Matt Crouch 10! score involvements, ridiculous
Yep I've definitely drank too much for a Tuesday night.Good: 395 days we’ve finally won a game
Bad: I missed the first half because I mixed up the time
Ugly: Me tomorrow morning after a few too many drinks
Tough year need to enjoy the little things
I dont think anyone is getting carried away with what it means for the future..... but its a ****load better than losingI wouldn't get carried away with that win. Really good post overall, just nit-picking about Himmelberg. He contests hard which is really good, but those marks in the F50 aren't helping at all if he misses those goals and they go end-to-end for a goal (happens once or twice a game). That is by far the best game Elliot Himmelberg has played for this club. Was fantastic.
I hope so, and that he gets a lot of confidence from tonight.... and yet the play I really want to highlight was none of that. It was when he laid out the Hawks kid in the first with a bone crushing bump. To do that to a player of a side who have (deservedly) treated Adelaide with contempt in the past 15 years and from a player who has truly struggled this year was hopefully Chayces line in the sand moment.
