90% of this wall of text can be answered with "injuries".
Not buying it - we put in the same performance against Sydney in the finals last year with our 'goal sneaks' available. The fact is we don't have any quality down there except when Hawkins decides to clunk them and spray them afterwards. Your telling me McCartney or Menzel would have made a difference tonight?

Nothing at all good. At all. Bar Lonergan perhaps. And playing some young kids, but we really don't need to drop out of the four which is a solid prospect now. Nothing really went our way when we needed it also. Although credit the swans they were good

Still pissed at Dangerfield getting done for a tough tackle that resulted in injury (given we seem to adjudicate on result rather than intent), yet buddy will be fine even though Selwood will likely spend a good stint on the sidelines. Fu*king garbage and annoying

Love our medical department. Joel is now out for a month cause of the second ankle roll. & For what?
Just like Cocky last year with the knee, and rushing him back this year.
We are getting desperate and injuring players.
Wasn't desperate-it was just dumb. Seemed really obvious to me that he had to stay off after the first incident. Wasn't surpirised when he went down again. Silly medicos.

Why are people automatically saying Hawkins will be suspended?
Neither actions contacted the head, most he will be looking at is a fine

It's Hawkins they always suspend him for nothing and Sydney will probably take a leaf out of Carlton and complain Rampe is concussed.

At least 'academy award for skiing' Papley won't be able to claim Duncan hit him in the head.

The beginning of four consecutive losses, absolutely pathetic performance. The Cats are a one man band, poorly coached, with little depth and no hope of winning another game this season.

Bookmarked for when we win next week.

Not sure that superman could have coached us to a win tonight. People saying we haven't learnt this and we have learned that. Come on get realistic. We could not win tonight with the below.

Games

Simpson 2
Buzza 3
Z Guthrie 4
Parfitt 9
Stewert 14
Parsons 14
Menegola 23
Thurlow 36
Kolo 40
Bews 43

You simply don't win AFL games when 10 players have played less than 40 games and 6 less than 15. Arrogant selections yes. Poor coaching, no

Lot's of blame on injuries umpires etc yet had we kicked simple goals and i mean simple goals we would have been well in it.
Somehow this group of players just can't click.
Maybe the coaching or may well be the playing group...not sure.
Seems year after year the same scenario keeps rearing it's ugly head.

Papley said what he could to nail Duncan in his post match interview

I've seen bush sides full of piss play with more discipline and skill than the Cats tonight.
Rubbish.

As someone who had a fair size bet on the swans I was watching the cats closely.
They had a crack.

At one stage in the 3rd quarter we were $10 and only down 22.
I had a real good think about it. Because we were showing enough endeavour to close that gap in no time.

But then I decided we didn't have the cattle. I seriously wouldn't worry about tonight. Next week is the crunch. (Assuming we don't lose hawk and dunc).

I have been surprised more than once by MRP "descriptions" of what actually happened, it is apparent that they use cameras and anatomical models not readily available to the general public.

Ralph's dobbing Hawkins in for jumper punches....dibber dobber but he's 100% right

He's gone again and so is Duncan
Who's steering this f****** ship

Hang on mate like last time he was jumper punching first. God its irritating. We have to hold ournerve.

They certainly would have helped, as would cocky and danger. We beat Hawks a couple of weeks ago. They beat swans last week. It's can't be a 46 point gap really.

Sydneys recruiting of talent makes Steven Wells look like a snake oil salesmen. We are ****ing great and recruiting injury prone kids who turn it on for 2 minutes when they manage to get on the field. When that fails we have some d-graders to step up that weight as much as a wet towel and poop themselves on the big stage. What exactly is there to look forward to with this team?

We'll lose both of them

Exactly my point. Yet time after time people say it is not appropriate. Lets call a spade a spade. Some players, and some teams are untouchable.

How is it arrogant? Other than Stanley vs Buzza (and there are valid arguments both ways for that) we couldn't replace the rest as our real depth players like Gregson McCarthy Cockatoo Lang Ruggles and GHS have been injured. Who did you want them to pick?

Don't know how you can class the above as arrogant selections. With the exception of Stanley for Buzza, look at the VFL side named to play tomorrow and name another player in that team who would replace one of the names above and make the team better.
