Maybe Cam made a pact that if we got into a GF, he would get his hair shaved off. It could have been that was upsetting him??
No seriously, there is so much inward pressure on these boys to achieve what they have, let alone the expectation of all the supporters and MC.
Probably talking about the disappointment of missing the 2011 GF where he was an emergency like his brother will be next week. Likely to be years of joy his 1st GF.

More than happy to go in underdogs like 2011. No media gave us a chance that day

That is not my recollection at all. We were favourites c/o our spamming of Collingwood in the last round + their difficulties in beating Hawthorn the week before.

Also he’s been a bit of a whipping boy, seen as inconsistent, played all over the field and dropped from the leadership group at the start of the year. I also suspect that living in the hub for 15 weeks would be draining for some players.

Bit hard to claim we were robbed when the margin was greater than a goal ;)

Hope this time next week you can update your avatar from a Hawthorn jumper to a Richmond one. ;)

I hope we get the umpire that was very quick to point out Rozzee's "exaggeration" of contact. Hopefully he umpires down our forward end for Divin Grimes

And bobble head Vlaustin.

Think we have to go in unchanged really but last time really makes me think about whether we need a second tall forward. Have to hope Danger and Rohan are up and about I suppose as well as big work rate from Stanley and Blitz running forward. Hawkins played on the best defender in the comp just about last night and did well (even though Andrews was also good) but it was still largely one-on-one stuff which Richmond won't allow.

I think in terms of how we match up against them this is a tougher challenge than our three flags (even though St Kilda and especially Collingwood were better teams than Richmond) so it'll be a famous win if we can do it.

Quick shout out to the Saints for offering Ryan Abbott a two year deal late last year, allowing the cats to pop Lachie Henderson back on the rookie list For 2020. The rest is history and one of the better feel good stories of GF week for the cats.

We've got this.
They've hobbled into the GF playing pretty poorly all things considered and only just getting over the line vs a team who threw away chances in front of goal, whereas we are playing fantastic football, all of our players are in good form and we dismantled both of our last 2 opponents to get here. On top of that the players have a real feel about them that they still have 1 more goal to tick off, there was no over the top celebrating after the prelim win (especially compared to how richmond carried on), just a steely resolve to go one better.
The ONLY reason I'd have to be nervous would be if we lost our composure and played into richmonds hands, which I don't think we will. We will come out strong, making richmond play our way like we did against the lions and pies, and we will not relent.
This is our year. This is our time.

The Tigers board assure me that our last two opponents were hot garbage 😇

There’s a steely resolve of “we’re not premiers yet” and I think that holds the Cats in good stead.

As much as there was some elation at the end of the match last night which is fair and reasonable, there was a noticeable absence of cockiness I felt. That extended to CS’ presser.

I think that the Tigers on the other hand have showed a little too much that could have been taken as an over confidence.

Just my observation...
