Or right just means safer.

As my local example I doubt Geelong FC would want players living in Corio or Norlane over living in Newtown or Torquay.

Have no doubt the club would advise against it strongly.

That would be the charitable interpretation - though I'm not sure it gels with what we know about Hawthorn and AFL culture more generally

“The shocking report, commissioned by the Hawks, was given to the AFL integrity department two weeks ago, the league has confirmed.”

I bet Chris Fagan knew about this two weeks ago and allowed Joe Daniher to miss that final for the birth of his child intentionally. Because now he can frame it that he allowed an important player to miss an important final because family is the most important thing, so why would he ask a woman to terminate her pregnancy. I wouldn’t be surprised.

What was reported by the ABC, may not have been in the Hawk's report

Maybe Mitch Robinson wasn't too far off the mark when he gave Chris Fagan a parting whack on his Instagram page

It's not just racism - although it is extremely racist and disgusting. It's also misogynistic to presume that the player needs to get away from his partner, the ole ball n chain, in order to be a better player.
Just middle-aged white men being campaigners...since the dawn of time, I'd expect.

That isn't Fox. That is a quote from an ex player. I took it from the abc website.
Further news...
Yeah, only adding to your point...not contesting it.

Just pointing out that there is a fair bit of trial by media flying around. Do it right, bring the truth to light.

Plus I ****ing hate Fox.

Bit of a reach.

Typical media reporting - lynch mob is alive and well: judge, jury and executioner.

I’m not suggesting for one minute that if these allegations are found proven the perpetrators are slapped with a lettuce: on the contrary. The allegations are very serious…but at the moment that’s what they are.

However whatever happened to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty? Personally I feel Fagan and Clarkson have been hammered publicly here and what opportunity have they had to defend themselves? That’s been lost in the media circus.

Frankly the media have a lot to answer for but are not accountable themselves.

The North Melbourne Football Club is aware of serious historical allegations made against individuals who worked at the Hawthorn Football Club, including incoming North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson.

Alastair was due to commence work with North Melbourne on November 1 however he will delay the start of his tenure to allow time to fully participate in the investigation.

Statement from Clarkson ...

Hat off to Norf who had the balls to put Clarkson On ice pending investigation

If it's true Clarkson and Fagan need to resign and let both clubs move forward as quickly as possible. Each know their part.

Defend themselves?

Right now both coaches could come out and state " I vehemently deny all the allegations"

What?

Is the media not supposed to shine a light like this?

The ABC journo is directly quoting the people who had been subjected to horrific work place abuse, hardly judge, jury and executioner.

What happens in the socials and whatever the sports rags come up should not be used as evidence that things like this be kept quiet until all the facts are known.

Watch the spin come from those defending the deplorable actions of the 'powerful' such as those described by the victims of these awful events.

The journo from the ABC is aware that the report was given to Hawthorn 2 weeks ago and not a whisper of this came to light until today! Even today hawthorn people of that era have come out and stated they are shocked to be hearing of this today, not "yeah we had been informed that there was damning criticism of the club from years ago and we were asked about it".

LOL at Sam Mitchell's response, "uuhhh yeah I asked Silk and he said he didnt know anything" what a piss weak response.

Luke Hodge and Sam Mitchell, premiership captains and "great leaders of men" had no idea what was happening to their youngest and most vulnerable players apparently.

About as plausible as Careys baggy of antacids.
