Does Robert Scott have any bad blood against the Cat for trading him? Wonder if that would work against us.

I have a sneaking feeling Suns and NM are leading us... stay home, or breaking into an easier midfield.
Doubt it, ended up winning a flag didn't he?
I think he'll go to the Suns to get guaranteed games early on and use that to pump his price up for a move to Victoria.
I know that's what Id do if I was in his position.

Just listening to the couch... and they were discussing a Roos story from the past when Roos was coach and Viney first started at Melb... he had to have a word with him.. as he was going so hard at training..he was hurting the older players.... Would we like to think about when the last player we have drafted would have been like that. Cockatoo would be the only one I can think of.

Goldy is fine both him and Martin are A grade and durable the issue is when they are injury prone like HMac. As always the issue is price but at the right price they are upgrades for us.

Backward step Pure .. its another accommodation to the selfness of now. .. If bring him in we should still add kids or we risk doing another Hmac.

Ruck is an exception because you dont play kids there (except rare ones like Grundy). Other positions i agree with you. Stanley Abbott and Smith are all over 25 and Goldy is way better than them, he wouldn't be keeping a kid out of the side.

Hawks gave away pick 10 and future 2nd rounder for O'Meara so hardly no currency, Eagles have nothing close to that and pretty sure a future 1st wont cut it because it could end up being end of 1st round which is unders. If Gaff stays they will have even less to offer.
Gaff compo and their first rounder would give us 3 first rounders

What did we get for GAJ after 2010 season when he was traded to the Suns?

Can't remember...

Picks 15 x 2. One we traded for Caddy the other we drafted Smedts with.

I'm liking the look of Jeremy Sharp in this draft... Looks like he has okay wheels, marks overhead, flashy, gut runner, good kick. Not sure where he goes in this draft, but he looks a good fit with Brownless and Scott; would add a lot of two way running in the team.

If he wants to learn from the best hed come to us in a heartbeat

Its not the side Im necessarily talking about. Sure you may be right about a fit Golds can offer.. while have a high degree of fitness we can expect from a ruck 30plus..
We have this idea ..we just need to add one more bit to the puzzle and we will worry about tomorrow..tomorrow. I don't think we lost because of Abbott anyway.... but what im really referring to is this reliance on piracy , having to pillage someone else's list because we don't develop one ourselves

So how do you envisage our rucks on our list Goldy 30/31 , Stanley 28 , Smith 29 , Abbott 27/28...

Oh just realised he is next year's draft...
