Here's the actual tweet from Twomey:

Seems like it's probably:

Dogs
Out: 23
In: 34, 42, Roos' F3

Cats
Out: 32, 34
In: 23, 47

Roos
Out: 42, 47, F3 (likely to be around 37)
In: 32

This gives the Dogs a 150 points plus a future pick. Roos get their pick in the 30s. We move up the order to 23.

I agree with Strauchney's lists - class and outside run, together with foot skills please.

I'd be happy with Sheldrick as a competitive beast as long as we can snag a Macca, Chesser, Sonsie type.

And can we please have some LEFT-FOOTERS Mr Wells.

He did mention on air that he believes it will be 32,34
Geelong want to hold onto 30

Aren't we looking at taking 5 picks?

Change Pick 30 to 34 and that's what I've got too

EDIT BORIS332 : I assume 47 is meant to go to the Dogs too yeah, as it's not shown?

So long as we dont give up more than 32 and 34 or 32 and future 2nd im happy. If we can get a late or future late pick back in the deal all the better.

Will give us 22 23 30 (will be 24 25 32 after bids) and 50 which will come in to about 40 after bids plus 91 (will end up at 60) if we want to use it.

As we should 32 for a 7 pick upgrade on 30 is ridiculous. Absolutely robbery.

Depends on the individual draft. In this one i can see why we want it we will get a super good slider at 23 that we wont get at 34. Quite pleased.

Sounds like NWM won't get to Port's pick. St Kilda heavily linked, and this from Port's recruiting boss:

I agree i was more pointing out that port is likely to have him and sinn heigher on their board than gibcus due to what they need.

We can take 4 and elevate atkins or close at the end of the night which gives us an extra rookie pick the next day.
Or we can use 91 which will come in to about 60 as our 5th pick.
Could also trade back in with a future pick.

Tiger's are trading their first pick (15) out of this year's draft for future pick/s. Source.

Thats an odd move i would figure they try and trade up not out.

PO I’ll have a dollar with you on the fact we won’t nab a slider. It will be to make sure we guarantee getting a player that we have spent 3 months researching like MacDonald, Allir, Sheldrick, Conway, Hough or Banks.

Our trading has been much much more hard nosed of late so I’m happy to see what Wellsy has done.

True on last sentence. I like it.

Brady Rawlings (Norf) taking about sliding back 5 spots or so from 20 if they can get a Future 2nd or extra late 2nd this year. They know the Hawks and Cats are going to bomb mids and they want a small fwd.

Steep!

Their best shot at this is probably if some clubs think there are two players on the board they really want after the first round and they're okay with someone else grabbing the other at 19. Freo seem almost guaranteed to get a good haul for 19 with the way this draft is shaping up.

That's a ridiculous amount to ask. Basically 25 and 30-36 for 20 - when we're giving up 32 and 34 (likely) for 23. Good luck Brady

actually not a big fan of that deal... there better be a quality player at 25 which is what it will be after F/S to trade 32+34 for 25.... i hope we keep 32 and trade out the other two 30's picks.

won't be overly thrilled to see that outcome with the players ear marked around that pick being more the part time midfield/flankers.

32 and 34 for 23 is a terrible move imo. They are both still good picks, and 23 isn't that much higher to be giving away 2 reasonable picks for.

I personally disagree. The picks in the 10-30 range seem very even, our 32 and 34 will be 34 and 36 after bids. Here's the top 30 in a rough order:

1. Jason Horne-Francis
2. Nick Daicos
3. Sam Darcy
4. Finn Callaghan
5. Josh Ward
6. Josh Gibcus
7. Ben Hobbs
8. Mac Andrew
9. Neil Erasmus
10. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera
11. Josh Rachele
12. Jye Amiss
13. Arlo Draper
14. Josh Sinn
15. Matthew Johnson
16. Josh Goater
17. Tyler Sonsie
18. Darcy Wilmot
19. Campbell Chesser
20. Jacob van Rooyen
21. Mitch Knevitt
22. Sam Butler
23. Jesse Motlop
24. Tom Brown
25. Blake Howes
26. Zac Taylor
27. Matt Roberts
28. Leek Alleer
29. Connor MacDonald
30. Angus Sheldrick

They're all clearly better than the next group, which is where it gets really speculative:

31. Mitchito Owens
32. Brady Hough
33. Rhett Bazzo
34. Marcus Windhager
35. Judson Clarke
36. Ned Long
37. Cooper Beecken
38. Lachie Rankin
39. Joshua Browne
40. Cooper Murley
41. Jase Burgoyne
42. Lewis Rayson
43. Bodhi Uwland
44. Hugh Jackson
45. James Willis
46. Kade Dittmar
47. Morgan Ferres
48. Luca Whitelum
49. Angus Anderson
50. Ryan Eyers
51. Harrison Grintell
52. Patrick Voss
53. Andy Moniz

59. Shay Linke
60. Blayne O'Loughlin
61. Hugh Stagg
62. Sam Banks
63. Baker Smith
64. Will Splann
65. Jamieson Ballantyne
66. Miller Bergman
67. Cooper Hamilton
68. Kai Lohmann
69. Charlie Molan
70. Josh Rentsch
71. Jai Serong
72. Hamish Sinnott
73. Anthony Caminiti
74. Paul Curtis
75. Youseph Dib
76. Tyreece Leiu
77. Corey Preston
78. Jake Soligo
79. Dante Visentini
80. Karl Worner

when you put it into context like that it is not so bad. Bloody terrible lotto style draft if that is the case... could find more quality rookies or late picks in this draft than ever before if it turns out true.

what is the news if any about who we are eyeing off with our two b2b 20's picks?? i imagine tom brown is gone from all reports by then

Angus Sheldrick, Leek Alleer and Connor MacDonald seem to be the stronger rumours. We've been linked to Knevitt and Conway too but that seems to be mainly because they're Geelong Falcons.

Edit: as I typed this, Twomey said on the AFL.com.au stream that we're keen on Sheldrick in the 20s.
