I do agree its a better draft next year but we will have some guys who dont make best 22 every week who will have some trade currency so its likely some of those go and we will bring picks in that way

Hard to gauge what they would reap ... if they are not best 22...then its somewhere between late r2 and zero. What would have got for Cooper Stephens . Nothing for Frank Evans. The guys who we probably get something for are the ones we would not want to lose...like Neale.

Just don't understand why we would overlook him if he was there and Clark wasn't.

Have we said we would not take Tsatas? Or it just speculation.

My approach is we are lucky to have 7 ..but a little unlucky to have it this year. Trying to assess which player from the players that might be available that would push for selection in 23 is not obvious. Especially when our side is strong on and we have add 3 under 26 players that will see themselves playing in 2023. So who ever we add has to be happy to be her and work for their position. Could Clark really do a Selwood and play 21 games in his first year?

Tsatas looks like a player who has a good chance of making it. He gets to the ball a lot. Im not sure what his combine number would be .. I cant see why would go past him specifically ... but could understand why if the right deal came along that we looked other options. Phillipou looks a likely type. Would he be happy to wait his chance? The vibe I get he is very confident he will play from early on. Humpfrey seems very talent although wonky by foot.

Someone will slip thru because it seems one of those year where there a lack of the obvious after Ashcroft. I think we pick Clark is there on his package as much as his on field attributes.

Werribee is "metro"?

Technically, yes...

The following image is a map of the region covered under the 'Melbourne Metro' flag - and say you work in Werribee, you won't get the Geelong Cup public holiday but you do fall into the region that gets the Melbourne Cup public holiday as they're considered part of Melbourne

I don't get why the would want him? Flanders, Weller, Rowell , Ainsworth, Miller, Rosas. .... just seems a lot of shorter types for mine and Ginbey seems a better fit. I dont see the same height issue at Haw. of course they might have the same type just taller.
Character Leadership?? if he is a Touk Clone they will pounce.

You'll be happy whomever we select brother.
As will I.
On who we love over who we like is a different story all together.
Question... do we nominate Ted Clohesy? Under NGA when we have told him we would offer him a rookie spot.

Once we get past the initial panic of not picking who everyone expects we'll all be fine.

It happens every year, posters freak out, wish we had picked so and so, and by the end of the week we love the new guy and embrace him as our own and forget the alternative even exists.

Of course aside from the never ending Grundy conversation..

ducks for cover

.......but it usually ends up okay.

If Clohesy goes undrafted he automatically goes onto our cat b rookie list.

Riccardi is in the same boat but goes onto the main rookie list

We won't be using any of our two selections on either.

My recollection of the Prismall trade is that he was very disappointed to be asked to go. We needed the good pick to land Ottons and Brent paid the price. I feel if the club hand not pressed he wouldf have remained a Cat. Obviously it worked out extrodinarily well for Geelong. So I see that one and club driven, not the player.

Do you mean Moloney?

Prismall was drafted by Geelong in 2004, and teammates with Ottens for the next 4 seasons before he was traded to Essendon
