Ask and we'll try our best to assist - so here's 2024 Provisional AFL Draft Order

As normal, would like to acknowledge & thank Lore for creating this, keeping it up to date and making it available for all users on BF to use and keep track of the picks ahead of the upcoming draft

I'll also sticky this post to ensure it's easily accessible for discussion of our hypothetical trader

Also,

2024 Free Agency Period

The AFL introduced free agency at the end of the 2012 season, giving players another vehicle where they can transfer from one club to another. Free agency is a common form of player movement in major football and sporting codes around the world.

Free Agency Closes: Friday October 11 at 5.00pm

Duncan I expect to get nursed to 300 and then he will absolutely retire before the mid season draft, as per the discussions he has had with the club if you believe Fox Footy

In all seriousness who is our back up for Neale or Cameron going down with an injury?

Should we look at some cheap option like a Tabener or a mature kpp state level star (one guy kicked 7 in the SANFL grandy) to play VFL and sit there just in case?

I went to that game and McBean looked awesome. He’s also the captain of Glenelg.

Probably swinging Henry or SdK forward, and playing with one tall forward if we absolutely have to.

Willis, Jeka, Murdoch, Foster, Hardie.
Likely were never playing games here so nothing lost moving them on to try again with new draftees.

if all their replacements play 0 games we've had no net loss from this decision.

Stanley is a different kettle of fish, being a ruckman - it's too specialised a position for this.

Duncan? Well, he played 22 games this year, so I see him being fit for roughly 18 next year.
Can see Mitch playing 3 games next year then retiring before midseason so we can hit the midseason draft

Seems like Scotty was telling the truth when he said the club had some balls in the air.

9 list spots are now open. It looks like more than Smith and Martin might be coming in.

SDK and COS to go forward. More worried about how much ruck Neale will have to do

Another case of Jon Ralph trying to make the news rather than report it.
Sh!tstain of a journalist.

lol i wouldnt worry about it too much. tom morris and sam edmund already comfirmed is just a drum up. if there was something you'd think edmund been a carlton supporter would throw one of there about playing with his brother at the blues.

jonny raplh also said baker getting the tigers pick 12 straight up.

Farewell to Gary Rohan (I reckon he deserves his own thread???).

His performance against Collingwood in 2022 must go down as one of the most influential individual performances by a cat in history. Without it we don't make the grand final and miss out on a premiership.

We owe him a premiership.... As simple as that. And for this, he should be a Geelong legend!

We'd change our structure to a smaller setup, or throw SDK or COS forward for mine.

In the modern game in particular with the focus on transition, pressure, and speed, we'd be better off not playing a key forward at all than just playing one who's not AFL standard for the sake of it.

So…. Do we assume Bailey will be taking #3 for next year or am I being a little presumptuous? Very sorry to see the end of Parf and Rohan. Both provided plenty of entertainment in their time at the cats. Both maligned but I think both also made the most of their abilities and finish up as Premiership players. Congrats to them both.
#2 #3 #19 #20 #23 #26 #31 #41 #43
All are now available

Very much doubt it but would be hilarious to watch the rabid nimrods on the tigers board lose their shit
They've already turned viciously on Hardwick. I've seen some absolutely disgusting stuff like openly wishing for Suns players to suffer career-ending injuries just so Dimma won't get any success.

Bigfooty would literally blow up if Dusty came to the Cats.
