Review Good, Acceptable, and Putrid vs Kitty Kats

I bet not one person on here can write out a convincing post about Kyle Hartigan still deserving of a spot on our list. Honestly the biggest fraud of a footballer I've ever seen besides Ian Perrie at the club.

No Brown and Doedee has really thrown out the balance of our backline.

A small who can lockdown - Brown. We don't have that at all now.

An attacking/intercepting defender who has a presence in the air - Doedee. We don't have that now.

Got three running attack minded players who are average/poor one on one defenders - Laird, Smith, Milera

Three key defenders who you don't want getting the ball ideally - Talia, Hartigan, Keath

One lockdowm medium defender who is perhaps the worst field kick in the AFL - Kelly.

Lacks flexibility and balance.

The defenders like Rampe who can play small or tall and can attack/intercept as well as defend one on one are absolute gold.

Gibbs heading back gave us some composure/control but he's still not adding anything we're missing from Brown/Doedee.

I'd send Murphy down back and drop both Kelly and Hartigan for Otten

Otten isn't the future but we've got no one else, he's a smart player, a leader, good disposal and a good mark. Hartigan is shit

Think we can get by with our inside mids but we absolutely need Greenwood. I'd only have a handful of clubs ahead of us in the midfield.

I have quite a lot - Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn, GWS, Eagles, Melbourne for sure, and then you have to think really hard about new Brisbane, Port, and the potentially refreshed Bulldogs.

Just got home...

Good:

Ratkins kept me in the goal kicking comp
The effort. Can't fault the endeavour
The weather
3rd Quarter
Mileras evasion
Sloane worked his ass off again
Brad Crouch (see above)

Acceptable:

Keath (mostly but needs some muscle)
Hartigan (mostly)
Gibbs better (mostly)
Jones (getting better each time out)

Putrid:

The SKILLS. OMFG. We make Port look like the most skilled team on the planet by comparison.
We are too slow, too small and too old. We look like we are running in treacle. T%he number of times we hit up the opposition with no crow player within 20 metres was mind numbingly frustrating.
The squibs who left sooo early. Disgraceful!
The coaches box! Get a gameplan that works or GTFO!

The worst of All:

I've been on the "We're in the premiership window still" camp. Until tonight. I was fooled by the JLT. But no more! Get the kids with some speed in. Find some contested marking beasts. Find some athletic rucks WITH SOME LEVEL OF SKILL!!!
The Carlton board are right. We are on the wane

Oh yeah, I forgot one in putrid. Brodie ******* Smith. If I hear one more person refer to his "Elite Leg" I'm going to jump through this screen and throttle them. Is such a liability with ball in hand but seems to always get a gold pass on this board

Milera's defensive work so far this year has been fantastic. Defends first then goes. He definitely can not be criticised.

LOL, he was far from our worst

Why does Don never coach from the boundary line? Very curious. Does he feel he is removed from the players? Just wondering.

He got utterly destroyed by Ablett initially tonight.

Then got moved into the middle and was good

What? His defensive work has been ordinary. He attacks fine, but is consistently beaten one on one by opponents in the air and on the run, a washed up happy clapper ran rings around him tonight for the first half.

I'm not convinced the club is fully aware how far off it they are right now.

We "only" lost by 24 points and won several of our "key" statistics

They never are. Club hasn't had any objectivity for a long, long time. The external review we had to have but never did.

What about Hamill? Is he ready? Let's drop the illusion we are going to win the flag and get games into players who will be here next year.

Lost the contested possession by a lazy 43...

Blight knows where we are. Why isn't he employed by the club in a Neal Balme style role? Is he too honest?
