Thilthorpe pointing directly at Lachie Jones after he choked was my favourite part.

Thilthorpe's game is huge for us.

For the rebuild to be salvageable, he absolutely has to become a star of the competition. It'd been more than a year since he'd shown those sorts of signs, and the club was blinking on his development. This is it. The big reminder of the promise.

We just must sink games into him- he could become a top 5 in the league type guy.

Besides O'Brien playing his best game since 2020, Thilthorpe playing his 3rd good game in his career and Rankine, did anyone even play well?

We were poor, no where near as good as 1st half vs Gws, 3rd qtr vs Richmond etc. It just happened to be we were playing a team worse than both GWS and Richmond.
Congrats on winning the dumbest comment on the thread, award

It’d be excellent if Fog/RT become our version of McKay/Curnow, or Hawkins/Cameron

Two elite key forwards in the same side might be the most difficult thing to stop, especially if one has elite height and reach like RT does

It's the sort of thing that could compensate for not having the best midfield in the league, particularly surrounded by Rankine/Rachelle.

Nailing this year (and probably next's) draft with midfielders will tell the story.

I liked the way Gollant persisted and worked his way into the game

More silk than arse in my opinion.

Eddie was great but an arsey player, and I say that with the utmost respect.

Rankine is more polish.

I kind of get what you mean. Eddie kicked goals from positions you wouldn't even think were possible at times. That one against GWS that won a goal of the year springs to mind. Eddie might have been the only player to have played AFL to be able to kick that one.

JHF was without question the marquee trade last offseason.

However, Rankine will end up being the higher impact trade IMO.

JHF was a massive get for them, and still puts them in the box seat going forward in a lot of ways, that midfield will be good.

Having said that, at 1-2 that's a very nice pick they're sending back in addition to Sheezles.
