Gollant did well in the ruck in the 3rd, like surprisingly well. Burgess shouldn't be in our a side, doesn't suit the forward structure and is a worse ruck than Gollant.
That Rachelle snap in the 4th was pure class and lifted the team imo. McHenry bumping the player of the ball for Fogarty to spot up someone in the middle was great too.

This is the one area of a marking contest I've never understood as to why more free kicks aren't paid. Clearly the defender is literally grabbed and pulled away from the front position. So there is no interpretation where its not holding the man.
Burgess shouldn't be in our squad at all as he never fit our age profile.
For a big dude Burgess gets moved around physically in the ruck quite easily. And almost the opposite for Gollant, managed to hold his own OK against a big dude like Pittonet.

How about a shout out for Nank, he was amazing on the wing. Finally played him in his position and look what he could do, he mustn’t be dropped from now on unless it’s for a rest, if he’s tired.
He could be a great player for us in the future, so disappointing that he’s only played 5 games

Strachan and ROB would be too much of a liability when not in ruck.
Soldo is so much a better ruckman than ROB why can’t we ever go for players like Port. The sooner we replace ROB the sooner people will realise how shit he is . I don’t wish injuries on anyone but so do for ROB as our coaches are blind and it’s the only way they may realise . Like did anyone see ROB try kicking that ball in congestion today takes an eternity for him to put it on the boot.

Rachele, hinge and soligo were fantastic. Keane played well again. Tex, Dawson, Rankine, Fogarty and many others working back to their best. Keays kicking straight! I think Ben loves playing the blues.
Loved the pressure and the physicality we brought. I felt like Carlton was still the better team but we just worked and worked and worked. Noticeable directive to hold onto the ball and test tacklers rather than kicking down the line.
