Amazing.

Clutch goals from Tex and Fog.

The kids all had their moments- McHenry, Rowe, Berry, Jones, Thilly. Even Murray had that tackle on Gawn.

Keays remains massive, despite the lack of polish.

The bad is probably our rather anonymous captain and the fact that the media is already talking about all the contentious calls in our favour when they, at best, even the ledger given our being absolutely reamed for the majority of the game.

Good
- Resting Tex. Looked a new player tonight. 100% linked to freshening those legs. Fingers crossed there's no whinging when it happens next time.
- Thilthorpe's 4th quarter. The bloke gave absolutely everything he had. He's made of the right stuff. And the way he impacted the clearance early on in the quarter when in the ruck was ominous. Ruck craft isn't there but like a spare midfielder.
- Doedee - 1%er central
- Nicks's best tactical game. Our standard style plays right into Melbourne's hands. He made some small, but substantial changes that completely took the game away from their terms.
- Laird & Keays. All heart
- Seedsman outside. Very good.
- Nick Murray's tackle on Gawn had as much of a role in winning it for us as Tex's goal. Unbelievable from the last picked in the 22
- Jones settling in well. McHenry starting nicely. Tenacity might just be enough.
- The effort levels all game. Switched on. I love it.

How good is footy?

Anyway:

Excellent:

Berrys first half. Ended up fading, but oh boy do we have a potential inside mid and a half here. I truly look forward to watching him develop as a footballer here.
McHenry had a big impact throughout the game. Harassed and hurt the other way.
Tex looked good.
Thilthorpe star is growing. Stays healthy and I don't think it's unrealistic to say he'll end up the best key forward this club has ever had. Just a freak.
Fogarty purely for that decision to take a set shot. Impacted when he needed too though.
Jones and Schoenberg weren't consistent but had some nice moments.
Murray had a mare, and yet I'm willing to forgive it all for that tackle on Gawn
Rowe had a good first quarter.
Doedee and McAdam were both outstanding defensively.
Outside of the first 10 minutes in the first quarter, our pressure was top notch.
Seeds/Laird/Keays all had some seriously good moments. Fought on even though they got brutally outclassed in the middle.

Terrible:

David Mackay. He was horr... nah, I'm trolling. He had a bloody fantastic game.

Look I'm really sorry everyone. I have some terrible news.

Neither Fogarty nor Thilthorpe reached the Vader Threshold of 12 touches for a forward.

I'm afraid we will have to drop them both and delist them at the end of the season.
