Yes we can be better but we believe the guys are playing their roles - around metres gained - then names 3 kids

'' guys have just got to touch the footy at training , I know when I was out of form I felt touching as many footys at training helped me ''

Its the same shape in games as it is at training

Dowling '' young guys keep coming into my office and asking when is their chance and look the opportunity for those guys could be 3 weeks 4 weeks or whenever''

FMD

In what world does Van Berlo get his own office. A cubicle by the toilet is all he deserves.

Took me a while to get around to this, but this was the moment of the game for me. It has stuck with me all weekend.
Right after Laird's goal actually.

I added my thoughts.

We have some horrendous decision makers, some really dumb footballers.

Also, do our player use studs in their boots. I don't know why our players are always slipping over.

Like Craig didn't know how to communicate with most younger players.

I reckon as a 5 foot 11 and 3/4 inches tall slightly overweight 38 year old, I could still rack up 5 intercept marks against the Crows. If one hated themselves enough to do it you could make a pretty damning super cut of loose half backs getting into position 35m away from the ball and then literally watching it get kicked straight to them. It's at the point where you can pick out the spot of grass we're going to kick it to before it even happens and get it right 90% of the time. How does every spectator and every opposition player know exactly where the ball is going to go yet it always seems to surprise our forwards in the area?

It's like watching a different sport when actual good teams kick to their team mates' advantage.

Just want to draw everyones attention to just how bad Jones and McHenry are...... and also how poor some of our onfield talk/connection must be

Here's a link to the 6.27 highlights video of the game

At the 1.52 mark, from a basic kick out from Melbourne's end, under no pressure to our shape, somehow they've found a spare man wide in McVee. I think it's Cook who get's dragged out, but importantly Worrell then gets dragged out towards the player Cook was on. They're just not talking to Cook behind the ball as he probably needed to already be pushed up. McVee then sees Chandler move into the space behind caused by Worrell being out of shape, and it's an easy kick (Soligo loses sight of him but Chandler originated his run in their F50)

Butts is glued to his man and doesn't bother to come off him to effect the spoil.
McHenry has drifted off his play and somehow, leaves that player to become a passing option whilst marking..... no one...

The Camera then pans to our D50, and.... Jones and McHenry are marking no one....

It doesn't appear that there's any cohesion there as a Team unit to talk and shift across and push up quicker.

That's a big issue this year where we've decided to use Keays as a connector down the wings and into the defensive part of the ground (I'm guessing because of his running ability). He just has zero tricks and all he can pull off back there is the down the line bomb.

Yeah maybe. I'd doubt it's the best use of him though, I think he's actually pretty effective at half forward.

At any rate, even Keays can do better than that.

I don’t know why you’re not getting more engagement?

You’re producing some good content 👍

We specialise in slightly built 5’8” players who kick the ball nicely…on the training track
With McHenry it's the sunk cost fallacy. They spent a good pick, pumped games into him. They can't seem to let go.

I don't know wtf is going on with Parnell. I'm not even mad, just confused by his presence.

It's not a matter of they can't let go, it's a matter of like with Murphy they rate his effort over his actual impact.
