Re: Hawks confirm appeal - hearing 5:30pm Thursday

I have a bad feeling the AFL won't take lightly to being caught out on such an embarrassing gaffe. They will try to uphold their (self-perceived) integrity at all costs.

Who knows though, maybe Denton can weave some magic?

Re: Hawks confirm appeal - hearing 5:30pm Thursday

Our biggest concern should be as to who will be our lead up foward or we just hope our midfields and dolwer step up and kick us a winning score...

Looking sleepy, How unprofessional!

I'm not liking our chances.

Whitey927FRANKLIN CASE - Case continues. Nearly 90 minutes. It appears the Hawks are losing the battle..does not look good :(

Re: Hawks confirm appeal - hearing 5:30pm Thursday

Adam White called it last time and looks like the same this time.

Can't help think if he had a different lawyer, Buddy would be free to play.

Re: Hawks confirm appeal - hearing 5:30pm Thursday

The LAW book, or RULE book?

I think this has all been in vain!! He won't be playing..The AFL won't want to be embarrassed..These QC's are paid by the AFL, They will look after them...

Latest from SEN: 'Still arguing that technically the ammended rule is not in the rulebook so he can't be charged.'

Should have got Dennis Denuto to play the marbo card :thumbsu:

Doesn't look good though which is unfortunate for the game.

If we are arguing the validity of the rule then we might look at taking it further if we lose.

I don't think it would have made any difference. The AFL DO NOT WANT Buddy to play, they want to use him as an example!! Will be interesting to see how they line up on Sat without him...

"Wait on, now they're going with the misdirection angle "

So now we are talking about the angle? I'd be surprised if this finishes by 7.30

We need the bloke that got Maxwell off, if he can convince them a guy can break another man's jaw is fine - he's got to be doing something right.

EDIT - Who's speaking - Adam White posted this:

The AFL counsel, Jeff Gleeson, has argued very strongly against Hawthorn's case. Key moment and could be determining factor

But SEN is reporting we're still speaking?!
