Absolutely frothing this trade.
But watch how the media spin this if/when the JOM trade happens-
'Amazing trading by the Hawks, managing to give up just pick 10 for O'Meara.'
Nevermind B Hill, pick 36, having to push out B&F winner Sam Mitchell because of the salary cap.... and who knows what their 2017 1st will be. They obviously rate themselves too highly to think that that pick will be anything lower than 18.
They'll need a player on top of that to get the deal done

It makes us think about which of the future picks we want to trade to get back into this years first.

Although it's probably still more sensible to trade their pick.

Don't think we'll move Hawks 2p17 1st on.
Reckon we'll trade a player and later 2016 pick to get back into early first round 5, 6 or 8.
Pref 5 or 6.

Then testing that pick against a Kelly Shiel etc OR take it to the draft.

Sam Mitchell, Jordan Lewis, Brad Hill, Jonathon Ceglar. There's a few blokes missing for them next year. Add in Good Bloke Hodgey being a bit injury prone this year and it's a very different Hawthorn. I hope we keep their 1st pick, could be anywhere from 6-14 IMO but I'm guessing it's more like pick 9 or 10. I think we'll move up to 11 or 12 next year.

Hawks will suck next year...

If you could nudge the club in the direction of:

1. Trading back into the first round this year
2. Using both future first rounders for a godfather trade (Fyfe/Rance/Martin)
3. Perpetually trading one first rounder from next year for a future first and a second rounder thereby giving us two second rounders every year
4. Using both in the draft next year for elite talent

Which way would you be going?

Though it seems that 2 is more likely - I just hope it's the right big fish and not just the biggest.
