Id like to see him get off as I think it's pretty minor and certainly not worthy of missing a Brownlow for but I'm struggling to see how they argue it with the rule change to hits out of play.

Whether it’s an accident or not is completely and utterly irrelevant. Peter Wright sent Cunningham into the shadow realm accidentally. He still got banned.

You swing the arm you hit a head you cop the ban. That’s literally what they changed the rule too in these off the ball moments.
