My gut tells me Fev is back on the radar for the Swans, due to Jolly's wish to move back to Melb.

I really don't know how I feel about his?? Last week I didn't want him anywhere near us, but as trade week starts to unfold, I'm starting to think that he may have learnt his lesson by being dumped by his beloved Carlton, and that he might just wake up to himself in time. Plus with Jolly wanting out gives us another definite first round pick, which is now appearing all that Carlton are after for Fev?

Thoughts?

I don't think so because the clubs known about Jolly for ages apparently and thus why they wanted Seaby so early, I doubt they wud guess fev would be on the market and I'm
nit sure who's in charge of the trading but their not stupid and we don't have everythin for a premiership. Besides roos has come out and said his not interested, it's not what Sydney needs

also as for him changing it's a prettty big call.. I thunk the forwardline would be a tad tall as well, johnston, white, goodes, fev

plus we always went to hall and I won't be suprised if we now always goes to fev

As a Blues member I am neither for or against Fev leaving but would think if he did go,the Swans could easily end up with a 100+ goal kicker next season, especially on the smaller SCG.

IMHO if Jolly goes for a 1st that might then be on traded for Fev, if Jolly stays or gets moved for a player he most likely will not be heading North to Sydney.

Yep, Roosy has been very cagey throughout, but yesterday he seemed to hint that if Jolly goes for a high trade pick, THEN Fev could then be thought of, simply because we never bothered thinking about him due to what Carlton would want etc. Plus now it looks like Carlton would be happy to part with him for a first rounder, probably without a player thrown in...

If Jolly goes to the Hawks things could be interesting for us! We'd have to ask for a first round plus a player (Kennedy?), which would put us in a much beter position. Ahhhhh don't you just love all the hypotheticals of trade week!

The more that I think about it the more likely it seems he could be a target for us. I can't really see any other teams making a major play for Fev with the exception of possibly St. Kilda and that would probably depend on the Ball deal. If no one else comes up with a reasonable offer for Carlton we could get him relatively cheap. (eg. Pick 14 & fringe player)

I've thought about the logistics of the trade but buggered if I know if I'd actually want him at Sydney.... probably not.

Sounds fair to me DBS :thumbsu:

I really enjoy how Roosy fronts the media....IMHO he is one of the best in the business at playing the media game.

Seems a number of Carlton fans have now decided they'll get ROK as the steak knives.

I'd be spewing if we did a straight swap ROK for Fevola, let alone in addition to something else.

(Mind you, I don't want the club to recruit Fevola even if he were to come for free in the PSD for a salary of $50k pa)

Happily I reckon that scenario has been averted. ROK I reckon is safe and sound. He's too valuable to our new and emerging midfield structure, and really wants to play midfield, which is probably not where he'd end up if he went to Carlton.

Fev's market value is dropping, which means any side would now probably get him for a first rounder alone.

Collingwood!!!!... Mr EDDIE Everywhere (mentor )....offered Pick #30!

Wait!!!! ....patience... but we will need to make him a "patient";)

Pick #28:thumbsu:

I would hate to see Fev go to Collingwood.....the Blues have said if Collingwood wants Fev they have to pay above everyone else.

I am obvioulsy biased to a degree but I think Fev is still a quality footballer and if we have to lose him I would prefer him to go to a decent team....Swans or Doggies I would be happy with.

His footy skills are not in question...

Dogs are out of the equation...What happened to Brisbane?? They were all hot and bothered for a while there? I thought Bradshaw wanted to return to Melb as well...If Carlton could get Bradshaw and a pick for Fev i would've thought that could be ok for both parties?

I would rather see Fev stay at Carlton than go to the Pies. In fact I'd rather Fev played rugby league than go to the pies...

Bradshaw resigned for two years IIRC DBS and from what I have heard were never really in the hunt for Fev.

Seems the Hawks are going to place all their efforts into getting Burgoyne so a Jolly to Pies deal could well be made whilst the Hawks are haggling over players/picks for Burgoyne.

Hawthorn have said they are not interested in any other trades until the Burgoyne deal gets done - seems a bit short sighted to me.

Fev will stay at the Blues, it is a scare tactic, but If they don't get rid of him, they have zero creditability.
If was a betting person my guess would be Fev will be at the Swans next year.I for one would hate to see Fev at another club but the Swannies are my second favourite club. He'd be good for you guys IMO.Not sure what we'd get for him though.

Cop this - whilst performing various ceremonies in the yard, like expelling Hall and blessing the new recruits and mid-field for 2010, a vision came to me of Fevulva kicking a left-footer over his head for a goal at the paddington end of the SCG - thing is he was wearing red and white. I must try and retrieve or clarify this vision, but I must source goat liver first...

This is one for the Paranormal amongst us.
