We do have Hinge, Hately and Dawson all 190cm. All are capable of playing in the midfieldOutside of Keays Pedlar is our tallest midfielder atm. Keays is 185cm still a tad under 6'1 and Pedlar is 184cm. But in comparison to our other mids they're kinda giants.
For reference JHF is 185cm but I'd be happy for a straight swap with our other 185cm mid @ Port. We are really missing that explosive elite mid 188 or + and we haven't had that since Danger departed at the end of 2015 and by the looks of it, we won't have it in 2023. That is not all that far off a decade.
And now they are shopping Sharp after giving away picks to get him!Basically geelong getting all the afl concessions... leading to a premierships.... most premierships are the result of concessions.
Hately is very close to a write off. Would not have any problem if he was delisted. You've completely written off Jackson Hately I take it?
Don't think Brett Turner makes it?
We do not have the elite midfielder requirements met. We've traded away our ability to add to it. This is bad.

Hatley looked great the few games they allowed him to play mid... but Berry took his spot and they put him on the HFF or wing.Hately is very close to a write off. Would not have any problem if he was delisted.
Turner actually looked pretty good in the couple of late sanfl games I saw. Will be interesting to see how he goes next year.
He played okay, but how many of these types (slow with poor skills) can we have? Berry has more ability so he definitely gets the nod over Hately.Hatley looked great the few games they allowed him to play mid... but Berry took his spot and they put him on the HFF or wing.
Again usual AFC... play a mid OOP and ruin them.
Yuk, giving that future 2nd is not great for us. That pick will be in the early 20's in a strong draft. So it’s 5 plus 2nd with maybe 4th coming back
thats a lot
but by end year we will forget quickly when lights up games
Holland’s next year fingers crossedOverpaying to raid them again next year? If not it sucks.
Under pay them and still hit them next year.Overpaying to raid them again next year? If not it sucks.
Sorry..Here....
Godden even tried to turn him into a tagger, prioritised old cooked, injured players over him, dropped him at the very first sign of him struggling..
Contracted to 2024.Holland’s next year fingers crossed
Could be we're getting some points back for MM? so it's more akin to 5 for rankine and future second for MM? Either way it is certainly interesting if we give up more. The fact that we're trading more than Pick 5 for Rankine does make me suspicious.
Could Rankine + his management have requested a minimum Pick standard?
Have we been notified of other trade opportunities come next year and are keeping a good working relationship with GC?
If it's Pick 5 + extra and that's it, then we've simply caved in to AFL/Public/Media pressure, and we may become the first club that has been bent over by Gold Coast at the trade table. What a miserable outcome that is.
Or do our list management just have NFI.The fact that we're trading more than Pick 5 for Rankine does make me suspicious.

SEN earlier today said we're likely giving a sweetener gold coasts way.Where are people getting it from that we are giving a second as well?
we should be getting something back anyway. no excusesCould be we're getting some points back for MM? so it's more akin to 5 for rankine and future second for MM? Either way it is certainly interesting if we give up more.
Our list management have probably used a computer to determine pick 5 is actually really awesome value and giving up more is just fine tooThe fact that we're trading more than Pick 5 for Rankine does make me suspicious.

I just can’t comprehend that. The fact that we're trading more than Pick 5 for Rankine does make me suspicious.
