Was always a strange selection by GWS given their inside mid riches. They should have drafted Jordan Clark with that pick instead. They ended up with a player they didn't need, then gave up two first round picks for Lachie Ash, who is similar to Clark. Ash is good, but not pick 6 + pick 8 good.

In any case, either the Bulldogs R2 pick or the Atkins compo should get it done.

Would you guys consider the pre-season draft? Get him for free?
Doubt we will use the PSD, as pick 29 should be reasonable for both parties. Prefer to be honourable.

Can't see GWS pushing for crazy compo like a 1st rounder that would force us to use the PSD.

Well some posters are saying a pick in the 30s, I think they'll want closer to what they paid. Interesting to see if we pull the psd card.
What they want and what they get will be poles apart, he's uncontracted and a deal fair to both parties will be negotiated no doubt favouring us.

Can imagine it now "O'brien taps straight down to Hately who shrugs a tackle, handpasses to Holland who is about to be run down by Powell-Pepper...oh no, crunched between O'brien and Schoenburg with joint hip and shoulders...that's going to hurt for a long while and Kane Cornes will have an article out soon asking for the hip and shoulder to be banned...in the meantime though, Holland slotted the goal...this is starting to get ugly for Port, as ugly as Kane Cornes Fireman career"

Perfect. Could easily prove a shrewd acquisition and will certainly get a lot of opportunities here, even if Brad doesn't leave.

We're pretty inflexible with our midfield and run minimum numbers through there. Hopefully significant change occurring with fresh ideas coming in. Not sure how fresh NVB's ideas are though.

I think I’ve said it before... But watching that..

If he was in this years draft and playing for centrals like he did in his 2018 Draft year and have those as his highlights reels then... We’d all be frothing over the lad in here.. and be calling for pick 8 to be used on him and probably hoping he’d still be on the board!.

If we can get him for the WB’s second (which will end up around pick 35 in the wash up) then we’ve snagged ourselves a great deal.

Lad will be best 22 for us next season.

Yeah it will. They might push for a first round pick, we'll counter with a second round pick being much more reasonable. The background of the PSD will speak for itself and they'll accept it rather than lose him for nothing. They have their own academy, so second/third round picks would still be useful to them.
Will....Not....Happen

What do you think is fair? I feel they'll want something resembling the original pick -we would. They're bleeding players worse than us and are starting to get shitty about it.

You're certain we wont use the psd as leverage... so why would the deal favour us?

Uncontracted, he's named his destination club....Jason McCartney is their list manager, you know that guy that played 3 seasons for the Crows, GWS' record of being fair traders.
