Whats peoples thoughts on how Bowes and Scheer will make the step up next year?? Could Bowes be the best player of the draft?

Thoughts on Lennon is he someone clubs would be chasing hard?

Where would he go in this year draft? Was highly rated his draft year if I remember rightly

What are your thoughts on Lin Jong as a player and his upside KM? A few on the Dogs board reckon we are very keen and it's likely to happen. I personally would like that as a taller contested player he fills a need.

I'm not a fan and don't see why he has been getting games for the Western Bulldogs, let alone why Collingwood are interested.

He is tallish, quick, an able pressure player and able enough to win his own ball.

Just not a good kick and not productive enough by position to be someone I'd view as a clear best 22 player.

Will Sam McClarty get taken?

McLarty is a draft chance but not a certainty.

Hey KM, was just wondering that, assuming we keep our first rounder, who would come into consideration for the dogs? I'm liking Kerr, but if theres a chance he could slip I wouldn't mind if we took Taranto either. Cheers! ☺

1st round is a bit early for Kerr. Not convinced he is AFL standard with his best signs coming during the Under-18 Championships. I'm waiting to see greater consistency by foot and more than he is currently showing for Oakleigh.

Taranto if available late in the first round would be an excellent choice given the quality of his play this year. Production is there. Very damaging player. Wins it in the contest. Threat overhead. Scoreboard impact good. There is plenty there.

Hey KM, can you possibly ease off on the Drew love? At this rate he is going to catch up and be taken before our pick at 9! Lol

Drew along with McCluggage from the first game I caught North Ballarat Rebels I've been red hot on.

People still seem to be just catching on as to how good Drew is, with others still lagging behind and not rating him as highly.

Whats peoples thoughts on how Bowes and Scheer will make the step up next year?? Could Bowes be the best player of the draft?

Both can play year one as required through the midfield and rotating forward. Scheer is the more physically ready to go. Bowes will be the more inconsistent but can still have his good games.

Not a fan. There is no team I view him as a best 22 player for. Wouldn't trade for him, but someone will be get him for a late pick or depth player I'm sure.

Hey KM, sorry if you have already mentioned him but what are your thoughts on Callan Wellings for the Rebels?

Has played defence and midfield. Can offer some rebound. Mostly outside, reasonable production and only medium impact per disposal.

Draft chance late/rookie.

What do you know about this Griffin Logue guy Cal has in his top 25?

Logue is rated by many, so no surprise Cal has him inside his top 25.

Has been impressive at WAFL League level and may have the scope to play midfield at the next level.

I'm left slightly unsure about his best position for AFL play which is why he isn't inside my top 30.

He seems like a potentially developable player though and likely features 1st-2nd round somewhere.

How high are you expecting Brad Scheer and Jack Bowes to have bids on them? - I've heard Bowes is sliding a bit, but Scheer seems to be rising up on peoples mock drafts after a good second half of the year.
Also, do you anticipate Witherden or Simpkin to be available for GC's early second round picks?

Bowes will receive a bid somewhere around pick 5.

Scheer likely somewhere around pick 20 (which is great value given his standard of performance this season).

Simpkin and Witherden are chances to be there early second round.

Scrimshaw may come into consideration around five, though with his kicking less than stellar in recent weeks I suspect he'll go somewhere closer to 10 than five.

Jake Bradley is not expected to be drafted. No state or national combine invite. He is more likely someone a state league club would consider. It should not come as a surprise. He is sub 180cm and on a poor Northern team, in an even but unimpressive midfield, there are others who are most advanced and had better seasons.

It's an even midfield group this year and there are a lot of midfielders I could make cases for that should be more highly regarded than they are.

Cousins is a good midfielder but no star. Wins the contested ball. Capable overhead. Scoreboard impact good and does have the capacity to play some minutes forward. Ok ball user. Not particularly quick but moves fine if you're not expecting him to break the lines.

Overall Cousins lacks that x-factor to be a high selection, with nothing dominant to him. He's just a good all-around mid who does most things well. He is a late/rookie chance, but in such an even draft for midfielders no certainty.

It's possible he could have been. I'd expect not though as he wasn't much of a contested ball winner and his disposal numbers while fair were not great.
Cousins lacking X factor his namesake certainly didn't

Ahh we have the grammar Police doing the rounds..... OK he has poor disposal by foot, how's that?
Not good again, your error with foot skill was spelling not grammatical, your use of a capital P for police another error .

His disposal by foot is no problem according to clubs queuing to sign. Add in I have seen him okay at least 10 times this season and his disposal fine, laid on goals in league

Nowhere near as good as SPS who is an absolute gem in skills, but the perceived problem was from last years 18s when he was playing up, playing different position and do kick ins from goal. This was also in a poorly performing team .

griff played plenty of good games at league level that will count . Stepped down to help Colts along and was average only . Same could be said of Waterman in his return to Colts post league . Footy can be a strange hand when it dies not run your way .

Hey KM, love your work again this year.

Regarding the Suns, if they do end up with pick 6 from Richmond for Prestia, they'll go into the draft with picks 4, 6 and 8.

Do you think there's any possibility they might be able to use those picks before Bowes is nominated?
Could potentially net them 4 top end picks in one draft.

Can you just seriously go away? I think I speak for everyone on here that nobody wants their 'draft' thread to be hijacked by a stack of posts from you every few days on how good certain WA players are. Create your own thread if you're really that adamant you need to get your point across.

You clearly have some form of connection with SPP whether that's family or friend and your biased opinion isn't helping anyone trying to talk about the U18 talent.

As for Powell-Pepper you say that people are still going off last years form- BUT have you yourself overlooked the fact that he kicked at 30% against South Australia THIS YEAR and in every game his disposal efficiency (kicks & handballs) was under 70% in THIS YEAR'S U18 championships.

It would be interesting to see whether Gold Coast would use all those picks.

They're likely also moving O'Meara who will = another pick.

They'll surely move some of those for 2017 picks.

And losing players, and still not being a top 8 side, they'll also surely be on the lookout for some established players from opposition clubs.

So Gold Coast may after trade week have a very different looking combination of picks going into the draft.

As for which pick Bowes may be nominated with. That's an unknown. I suspect a pick around 5. It's possible a club bid after pick 8 on Bowes, but most likely a pick somewhere in that 4-8 range will be bid for Bowes.

Hey KM ... could Drew get to carltons second rounder??? Could be a great help for Cripps!

Possible he would be there.

Great get for Carlton if picks in the second round.

He is one of the better mids this year. Seems universally underrated (at least based on my ratings). Just love his impact and how contested his game is.

Thanks for all your insights. Was wondering if you had any thoughts on future father/ sons for Richmond in particular Patrick naish and bailey and billy lambert.
