I don’t think it’s fair to say he was selfish because of the way he played in one game. He’s been a team player and very good all year, he had 19 GA this year. More likely he just had a bad night and felt like he needed to do too much by himself. No one would be more disappointed than Tyson
I don’t know he has done this a few times now with the biggest incident causing Hawkins to have a go at him on the field for it

I’m really hoping the club highlights it as something that needs to be addressed for next season he does tend to ignore teammates in better positions quite often

Probably when the siren went which makes it a hard loss.
Losing close prelims is never easy.
I get we weren’t the best team, ect but sometimes the best team doesn’t win it. 08, 09, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 are all years where the best performed team of the year didn’t win it.

Firing off excuses that we weren’t the best team so it’s ok we lost doesn’t sit right with me.

I watched the replay of the prelim (I was there and needed to watch it again) and we should have won the game. We should have been 4-5 goals up in the first quarter.

Overcooking it, panic and no composure are what cost us the game.

We lost and it is what it is. But yeah I am disappointed because I think we should have won that game.
Not excuses- just watching the game, we looked more fatigued than Brisbane, and less able to handle pressure. Not much in it, but the 2 late goals after OH got us ahead were significant, and it sits ok with me that it was just not meant to be. Winning 22 makes it a bit more painful though, as that was such an enormous long-lasting high. Had we not been premiers then, last week would have been just how it goes, but we have experienced more.
The bolded is our issue- pressure- we do not have the players at present strong enough or good enough to handle that intense pressure- this game may set us up.

I wonder if he was peeved bout Mannagh getting all the hype from our last game and wanted to get back in the limelight with a few goals of his own.

Reckon it’s taken til now to get over this loss. On the night, due to a few drinks I’m sure, I felt somewhat balanced about it all but come Monday morning it was pretty tough going.

Am proud of the club given the amount of people a) not expecting us to make finals whatsoever and b) going out straight sets (I’m looking at you fox footy).

Still really lucky to support a club like ours. We might not win it every year or even every other, but putting yourself in the position to do so gives you that bit of hope which makes being a supporter special

At what stage did you accept we lost the game?
Even when we got the lead with a few minutes to go, we could not stop their hunger for the win.
So I fail to see how we should have been there, notwithstanding our poor first 4 scores, losing Holmes, we still got into a winning position, but, as we saw...
I recently watched Fagans presser and he actually mentions this. It’s a good watch.
He basically says that it’s not Geelong’s fault they had a soft lead up coming in with eagles, bye, Port, bye.
The lions had already played 2 finals and they were hardened. He said he expected the Lions to run out the game better.

Winning 22 makes it a bit more painful though ...
Pretty sure if we'd lost it would hurt somewhat greater.

As for the "they wanted it more" argument, I just don't buy it. If anything, sheer willpower and refusal to drop our heads was got us back in front. It certainly doesn't explain our inside 50 dominance in the final quarter.

In the end, it was a close game played with a funny shaped ball and umpired under a bunch of highly interpretive rules. There's your loss right there.

They are not beating sydneys midfield with darcy fort vs grundy and sydney having the week off. We have seen all year how brisbane can get opened up defensively. I expect its over by half time.
Which is sad for neutrals.
As it turned out, it WAS over by half time, so great prediction 😁😆😅🤣😂

How mentally fragile are you that after a flag you go wandering onto oppo boards to try to troll?
Dude.... kinda sad.
Didn't go trolling; was just interested to see how your supporters reacted to the PF, which was a great game. (If you want to see what BF trolling really looks like, check out a guy called Danster168 on a main board Cam Rayner "certified legendary" thread)

But really low-hanging fruit like that is hard for anyone to resist, especially when delivered with such conviction.

Seriously, I've got nothing to be mentally fragile about, "dude" (we won) ... and I have no problem with any boards other than Hawthorn, because Hawthorn proves you CAN suck and blow at the same time

That's all fair, especially the Hawks part.
