From the bits I’ve seen at box hill Hartigan looked miles off it. If he stays it’s due to a contract - he’s not adding much to list - if he’s playing afl next year we are in dire straits.

There was talk of making him a boxhill defensive coach and putting him on the long term injury list. Or the Hawk may just pay him out, dude was playing one leg this year.Three clicks and you can get to the thread welcoming Kyle. We signed him for 3 years. It’s true.
He was FA and Adelaide had 2 years in front of him so it’s probably what did it.It's absolutely amazing he got a 3 year deal, he really must have a good manager.
There were no triggers. It was a simple 3 year contract. He was FA and Adelaide had 2 years in front of him so it’s probably what did it.
The real question is what them triggers were for the third year which no one here seems to know.
A lot of them don't want to remember, they just want sh1t to complain about.People have very short memories.
Talk - what talk? There was talk of making him a boxhill defensive coach and putting him on the long term injury list. Or the Hawk may just pay him out, dude was playing one leg this year.
Clearly you havent watched a boxhill game, Hartigan is spent.Talk - what talk?
In the HFC match committee / list management?
Or just on Big Footy?
He may well have had a leg injury, which would explain his drop off in performance from 19 games in 2021 to only 3 this year.
Doesn’t mean you just flick him his $350k for 2023 and say don’t bother fronting up in November.
We simply can’t do that (unless he agrees), but he still commands a list spot for 2023 regardless.
I agree he’s looked slow and cumbersome at Box Hill. No doubt about that, but there could be several explanations for that.Clearly you havent watched a boxhill game, Hartigan is spent.
Sam was speaking about Hartigan in one of his many interviews with Kornes. How he had done a good job coaching the defense and it is possible he may move into a coaching role the following year.
Nah Taranto and hopper aren’t free agents, so all goodIs there any chance GWS get compo picks for anyone that might slide in before our first?
MITCHELL NOT EXPECTED TO COMMAND BIG TRADE PRICE
Hawthorn midfielder Tom Mitchell is a “really good chance” to be playing elsewhere next, likely at Collingwood, according to Triple M journalist Jay Clark.
And he could well get picked up for a cheap price.
It emerged this week that Mitchell was weighing up a trade request that’d see the 2018 Brownlow medallist join a third AFL side, which comes after the 29-year old played reduced midfield minutes this season under Sam Mitchell.
It’s believed the Hawks are prepared to contribute towards the final year of his contract in 2023 worth around $800,000 given the cap space it’d help clear.
Clark told Triple M that the Pies —nor any club — are “banging the door down” for Mitchell’s services, and thus doesn’t expect him to command a high pick in a trade.
“As I understand it it’s equally Hawthorn pushing it and Tom Mitchell pushing it. He sees his premiership window is probably closing at Hawthorn, if he goes to a club like Collingwood he can be back in the mix,” Clark said on Triple M.
“What’s going to happen here — and Hawthorn has got to get its head around this — it’s not going to be for a high pick, there is no first-round pick changing hands here ... it wouldn’t shock me if this involves a third-round pick for Tom Mitchell, depending on how much salary Hawthorn’s going to be pay.
“Because Collingwood is going to sit there and go, ‘we’ll take him, but it’s going to be (for) a lowish pick.’ So that’s the question for Hawthorn.”
Hawks have already said we will keep him of the compo is not fair. Nothing less than a second round pick in my book.Giant set for MAMMOTH $5m Tigers move; Shock price for Hawks star revealed: Trade Whispers

I don’t think Collingwood at this point have a pick lower than 42 ( Max Lynch compo from us ) after their first round .Hawks have already said we will keep him of the compo is not fair. Nothing less than a second round pick in my book.
Futures?I don’t think Collingwood at this point have a pick lower than 42 ( Max Lynch compo from us ) after their first round .
Hartigan should retire. Why play on when you know you won’t get a senior game.
What are you talking about?A lot of them don't want to remember, they just want sh1t to complain about.
Follow the quote. What are you talking about?
Sorry, I forgot what we were talking about.Follow the quote.
A Clarko decision to get him i assume? The Hartigan pick up was a head scratcher at the time, is even worse in hindsight.
I’m hearing that he won’t be on the list next season

How was it a head scratcher? We had frost and no other kpd.The Hartigan pick up was a head scratcher at the time, is even worse in hindsight.
