Super durable, strong leader, had an outstanding year, 29 in a couple of months. Has miles on the clock but no signs if wear and tear yet. Obviously looking for that last big pay day...I would have thought 3 years at $800k or so would be right?

Can't think of a team that needs him more than Sydney though. No one in Vic really chasing a mature a grade mid to put them over the top. Surely they work it out.

Swans have a lot of OOC players to free cap space if required
Stephens looks likely to be out, there will be others out too, + delistings. In my opinion, Parker may drag this out to get the best possible deal but there's no chance he leaves the club, Especially after the 2021 Sydney had

What kind of money would Hewett be on? He seems like the obvious one to free up cap space.
Probably $300-400k. I agree. He and Reid are the two OOC players I'd allow to leave if we have cap issues. Rather keep Hewett, but happy to lose Reid and back in McDonald, McLean, and Amartey.

Not sure what will happen with Hewett. Apparently we were happy for him to talk to other clubs, but with most other teams also facing cap issues, not too many offers have been made to him.

Surely they just let the likes of Stephens, Hewett etc walk and work something out with Parker. Sydney are too well run to lose someone of his caliber who wants to stay, would be unusual for them.

If it came down to a choice between Parker and Dawson, which one would you keep?

Seems like it would be a culture killing move by the Swans to give up one of their favourite sons in Luke Parker, even if they have to free up cap space imo.

Surely they and Parker can come to an.agreement, as much as I would love him at Carlton, would be a shame to see in at another club.

Would be a terrific fit for Essendon though imo

Tell you what, if I was the footy manager at a club full of softly softly 'we don't want ross lyon to be our coach because he's a big meany' players I would be chasing Parker super hard. Has a desire to win, is hard at the footy, is a solid professional and still impacting on games. You'd sacrifice a year of paying him basically to be on gardening leave at the back end to get him in now to change the soft entitled players culture.

Would look great in Hawks colours.
Similar love hate as Chad Wingard for me until Chad jumped ship.
Parker is a leader and a hard nosed player who can kick goals.
I’d pay him to get him over and look to slot him up forward a little more as he gets a bit older.
Swans through and through until you are not.
I never thought Luke Hodge would play for anyone but Hawthorn.
Anything is possible

Think he's 1 of those that will stay loyal to the swans. I doub't unless the offer from swans is seriously under what he'd want that he would consider playing elsewhere.

And the Swans have low balled him big time offering $500k pa for 2 years. WOW!

That looks like a offer to encourage someone to leave.

IMO the Swans are doing the right thing too. Don't pay overs for aging stars.

Right then...Parker and pick 6 + looks a little more appealing than Cerra all of a sudden.
