If Lloyd can only contribute one good game every 3 or 4 games, then he should retire this year.
Or at least hand down the captaincy and play 1 more year.

Not with the 1000 goal mark in sight. Lloyd's always been about milestones. Knights is the only one that will make the call, otherwise Lloyd will just keep playing to try and break Lockett's record.

I don't think Lloyd will be captain next year. With David Hille and Mark McVeigh in the prime of their careers, either will get the position next year.

This allows Lloyd to contribute as a goalkicker - with Lucas probably set to retire this year, Lloyd and Neagle will the primary targets up forward (with hopefully Gumbleton, Williams or Daniher being the 3rd tall).

Lloyd will retire in 2011 - by then, he will have played more than 300 games (by rights he could be 2nd on games played at Essendon by then behind only Madden) and have more than 1000. lockett's record is safe, but, 1000 goals isn't.

He didn't get double teamed, he just gotten beaten fair and square against Bock.

Why comment if you didn't even go to/watch the game. Both teams played a loose man in defence for large portions of the game and this resulted in Lloyd getting double teamed on numerous occasions. Blind Freddy could see this.

Still an absolute gun at FF when he gets some decent delivery. Shocking outside the 50 though.

He never played CHF against the Blues mate. That was the week he was copping all the criticism for playing too far up the ground, so he spent the absolute vast majority of the evening deep on Brett "Blame it everyone else" Thornton, and you know it.

Ok well how about the round 7 game vs the Hawks? Or his game against the Blues last year? Or pretty much his whole last season? Lloyd is not terrible from outside 50 and anyone who says this is deluded.

And im saying you are right. He did play all over the ground against the Blues in round 3. But it is just as easy to provide one of the many more examples of good game she has had from CHF.

I am not agreeing that he is terrible outside the forward 50 at all. What I will say is that he has trouble getting away from top defenders though on a far more regular basis. No shame in that.

He has played FF for extended periods in the last two matches against us. He was moved to FF after the Judd head clash in 2008.

And he played all of round 3 2009 at FF.

Incorrect. Lloyd doesn't get 15+ possesions when he plays the whole game at FF and he certainly doesn't take pack marks up on the wing.

You are very deluded to think that Lloyd is terrible outside of 50m. Try and deflect your comment as much as you like but you are wrong.
